I know this has been covered before, I just can't find the post. I want to make a brick wall, which I know I can use a decal. However I want to add a bump map or material to make the wall look more textured.

Wasn't there a post about this?

So what will give the best result.... just a decal, a bump map, or just a material.

Thanks!

The ultimate would be to paint your own decals, but if you want something quicker, the free darktree materials have several nice "brick"s.

The darktree plugin is built into A:M. RMB on attribute>change type to>plugin>darktree>symbiont

you'll need to have the actual "shaders" loaded on your computer. Those can be gotten from the darktree site

I did this with a dark tree simbiot material which includes a bump map setting you can adjust this was at 25%

I zipped a number of the materials that were brick related below
