necromancer120
double edit: *Nose hello, im trying to attach the giraffe nose to the head in exercise 11. am i extending all the splines from the head to attach to the 5 nose splines? I have 5 splines making up the nose. do the top and bottom splines attach to the very top and bottom of the nose splines and then i should have 6 inner splines with each pair attaching to the corresponding nose spline? If im not making sense let me know and i will try again I searched this and didnt see what i was looking for. edit: is there a trick to attaching the splines without spinning around and moving until you finally get them to connect? thanks in advance. PeterS
Doug: Do a screen capture of the problem area so we can get a visiual. Now that I think about it, I don't recall the nose being separate from the rest of the model. Sure enough, it's been a long time since I did the Giraffe, but the head is one piece. Extrude the nose piece, if it isn't part of the head mesh already, and taper it down to almost nothing at the end. You should not have a separate nose piece to attach. Chrury Sanson
Unless he's talking about nostrils or something. Those can be tricky. Remember: A picture is worth a thousand words.
necromancer120
Unless he's talking about nostrils or something. Those can be tricky. Remember: A picture is worth a thousand words. the example on the tutorial was to make a set of 5 splines at the tips of the nose/mouth area and then extend your splines from the head. I guess the problem is that im having trouble rounding out areas because i had the same problem on the rear end of the giraffe. I will get a screenshot of where im stuck posted today or tomorrow. Thanks, Doug
