I never really got into modeling with AM. I did a lot of vases/lathing, the giraffe, and the plane. And stuck with animating/goofing off.

Does anyone remember the magazine Serious 3D?

Great magazine that didn't last (a few printed issues, then online subscriptions, then it died). It had a lot of great information but it was basically a bunch of step by step tutorials using various software, including Animation Master.

They were by Robert Ward (Modeling a Grumpy Old Man) and (Prehistoric Creature Modeling).

Is he still around. He gave me the rough understanding.

Here is my first model and I am not finished with it yet. :D

i know you said you werent finished but most of the body is like peaked. like up in the middle on the top of the plane and then the area around the passenger..

other than that it is very good for a first model.

Cheers Totlover,

I think that was the 5th revision of the model mostly to do with the grass effect! One thing i gained from it is a fairly good understanding of the hair system especially as i spent over 2 weeks working on different incarnations of the grass (don't ask).

For some reason i can't seem to see your models from the link,it seems there is a problem with it?
