Copying chuncks of a skeletal rig

Hello again,

Working through the examples from Animation Master: A Complete Guide (2006 edition) on page 253 it talks about duplicating a bone structure (pelvis-thigh-calf-ankle-toe) by ALT-dragging the pelvis (bone presumably) and dropping it ontp the pelvis (again, bone presumably). Each bone is a child of the bone beofre it in the heirarchy, but ALT-dragging the pelvis seems to do nothing other than move it around.

Am I missing something or is the text incorrect? How do I duplicate the entire bone heirarchy without having to recreate it?

TIA,
