TeresaNord
I know I should know how to do this, but I don't. I've been messing around with it for forever and finally decided that I need help. It's probably something simple that I'm not doing, but I can't figure out what it is... Okay, so I'm playing around with the Knight and reusable actions in the Dark Room (in the projects folder). I have him be idle and then yawn. (No problem) Where I run into a problem is when I try to have him walk on a path after that. When I create the path and constrain him to it and the type of walk I want, then it automatically constrains him to the path when he is idle and yawns. So I end up with a knight yawning as he slides along a path. The obvious thing I tried first was to create the walk in a new choreography action, but that didn't work, I had the same results. Does anybody know what I'm doing wrong? [attachmentid=16550] [attachmentid=16551] [attachmentid=16552] [attachmentid=16553]
luckbat
You control the knight's movement down the path using the constraint's Ease property. Keep it set to zero until you want the knight to start travelling.
TeresaNord
constraint's Ease property That makes sense , thanks. Keep it set to zero until you want the knight to start travelling.Umm, where is that? Is this it in the properties? and I just change the percent? [attachmentid=16554] Never mind just tried that. Umm? Well, I'll keep playing around with it... Thanks luckbat!
luckbat
Make sure the walk cycle action has a stride length, too. Otherwise there's little value in using a path constraint.
TeresaNord
Yeah, I'll put more of a walk cycle on. I'm just not finding how you set that constraint ease thing to zero until 00:12:04?
