Paul Forwood Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 I have been using TSM2 to rig some character models for exporting to the Torque game engine. These models are between 1.2cm and 2cm tall and so the TSM2 rig has to be scaled down to less than 1% of it's default scale. Some of the intermediate bones are therefore less than 0.25mm in length. In the last couple of days I have been getting errors appearing on all the bones in the Project Workspace. This has just occured again and I haven't even got to the final rigging stage yet. My feeling is that this is being caused by forcing either TSM2 or A:M13 to work in such a small scale. The current error, visible in the attached image, just shows up on the bones folder but previous errors have appeared on every bone. Are you able to confirm that working at this scale will introduce errors that would cause the ' Error Loading String #' to show up? [attachmentid=15563] Quote
Morgan Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 I haven't been able to replicate this, but I'm not sure that means anything -- I assume that these errors don't show up on every save and reload. Since the bones created by TSM2 should be identical to bones you'd create by hand, I'm guessing this is an A:M issue, not a TSM2 issue. I'd recommend reporting it through A:M Reports, and in the meantime, consider scaling your models up in A:M, then back down via the Torque engine. Quote
Paul Forwood Posted March 30, 2006 Author Posted March 30, 2006 Thanks for the quick response, Morgan! I had a quick response from Noel too who has resolved it already! (THANKS NOEL!) So, I'm sorry to have troubled you needlessly, Morgan. Thanks again. :-) Quote
