JohnArtbox Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 I can do this by hand but it seems like such a waste. Is there a way to mirror the fan bone constraints in my constraints pose form the RHS to the LHS of my model. Flipper adds the bones and Mirrorsplines adds the mesh points to the correct bones. The only thing left is to be able to automatically add the constraints. Any Ideas? Quote
Raf Anzovin Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 Hmmm....well, you might try "paste mirrored." I don't know if that will flip constraints--never tried it myself for that purpose--but it's worth a shot. --Raf (edit: never mind, I just realized that, even if it does sucessfully flip the constraints, it almost certainly won't flip their targets correctly.) JohnArtbox Posted February 24, 2005 Author Posted February 24, 2005 tried that, it didn't work. Back to the manual method. Quote
Animus Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 In a old video tut on rigging i have(by Eggprops, is it ok to mention it here?) it was done in a text editor by saving a Left model and doing a replace left for right, save the Right model, import the model, flip the new root bone, make it a child of the first bone and delete it. It was done with the fan bones applied. It was back with 8.5, but i guess it would still be possible. Michel Quote
JohnArtbox Posted February 26, 2005 Author Posted February 26, 2005 Interesting idea. I'll try that with my next character and see how it works. Thanks Quote
