hi, i just posted in the general A:M forum but it seems i can´t post images there. Well here´s the render i mentioned w/ my makeshift area light. I think it looks alright but there are artifacts that bother me a bit, in the form of weird shadows in the forehead. However, i believe it´s the lighting since the model has already been smoothed out w/ porcelain and it´s articfact-less w/ the default chor lights. Any thoughts?

hmmm.... why didn´t anyone respond? Anyway, i discovered that Klieg lights are the only ones giving me these artifacts! is this normal? i´m using two w/ z buffered soft shados at around 60% softness and 1024 map size. HELP!!!!

I'm not an expert, but the problem may be the z-buffered shadows. Can you get better results with ray tracing? I also noticed that the interior of the head is lit, but I can't remember how to fix that.

Ha! I guess I didn't help too much!

i think that's the direction of the klieg light. Anyway, ray-traced shadows look very grainy even at 10 ray cast
