  1. I am also an old A:M Mac user, and one of those who used with no problems even the Os9 versions. I founded and now direct the bigest and oldest spanish on-line A:M comunity (http://www.cole3d.net). And I am also one of those who right now cannot use A:M for regular work just for the lack of any preview-to-file option. And I also have other OGL 3D software running smoothly with the same configuration, and cannot believe that Hash folks cannot get it running right.

     

    Come on, please, dear hash Mac programers... WE REALLY NEED IT... I for one have a full featured 4mins. short semi-finished now for... almost a year!

     

    V. 11 looks like is having the same issues, and it is not just a matter of old cards, as there have been reported several times it is happening the same with newest Macs and Nvidia Cards.

     

    Desperatly waitting any kind of solution,

    I allready know how to build a good rig with just bones and constraints, I am just trying to learn expressions for another kind of usages. The nice thing about them, I think, is that they are capable of relate two or more totally diferent parameters, not only bones. Think for example in having some bump maps for the eye´s wrinkles and getting them aplied automatically when you move the eyebrows. Or relating two diferent actions in two models to react one to the other. I can see a lot of uses for them, but I just would like more info.

    Anyway, the link was a good one, thank you. Bit I still keep looking for a good book about expresions... :)

  4. Does anybody know where can I get information about the use of expresions in character animation?

    It would help any web page with tutos or even better any good book about the matter, because I´m a total newbye in scripting -other than some basic actionscript for Flash...

    I have managed to succesfully run AM 10.5m under clasic with no problems now :D

     

    The only strange thing is that when I render to file a coreography with a character selected, in skeletal mode, I get the bones included in the renders...? I think it´s the first time I see this. Not a big trouble, but it forces to switch to coreog. mode and selecting the camera or the coreo itself, in order to get a clean view of the character acting...

  6. I don´t know what I´m doing so wrong, but under MacOs9 AM 10.5m still gives me black renders when using other than final quality. Under MacOsX (10.2.6) it does render right the first frame and then it tells me that it cannot save the frame. I have tryed with all my HDs with no succes at all.

     

    I use a G4/733 1.2 Gb RAM and Geforce 2MX.

     

    Any clue?

  7. Rendering realtime OpenGL to a file on Windows has finally been tracked down and fixed in the latest v11.0 Alpha 1. I think it got into the latest 10.5 also (I'll check with Dan on Monday), but if not, it will be in the next one.

    Really good news :)

    And when can we have a Mac fix?

  8. AM 10.5j and AM 10.5k on MacOs 9.2 (G4/733):

     

    Imported a model from AM 8.5p+ and I needed to change some constraints. Went to the relationship and deleted some constraints in a hand riged with the Anzovin setup. Now I add a new constraint to one of these hand bones but I cannot select the target they previously had. No matter how I try it, it just ignores the desired target bone, it doesn´t even apear on the list for chosing a target...!

     

    Somebody else? Any clue?
