hello, its me again. not sure how many people remember a thread i started a while ago about a movie i wanted to make called metal invasion. well the movie is still canceled, but i didn't want to completely give it up, so i continued making models for it in hopes of one day i finally get to make the movie. anyway, i mention that i was having trouble coming up for a design for the combat droid. now i finally have a design and I'm nearly complete with it.
I'm going off of a design my friend made
i have the upper body, lower body and hands completed.
comments/crit are welcome.

sounds like you might be getting alittle in over your head.

alright, running the .exe from opening the CD is what did the trick, and it fixed most of the issue i was having with library, the problem was, most of it was gone, but the actors folder is still incomplete, half the models from that folder are missing.

a while ago i decided to reinstall my old V11 CD to see if it would fix an issue i was having with the library, but when i tried to reinstall it, it would get about half way through the first screen, then time out, so i decided to screw it and just reinstall the V13 CD, which is the upgrade CD, which is why i thought reinstalling V11 would fix the library issue. but anyway, when i tried to reinstall V13, it would open that blue gradient screen that pops up when it starts the installation process, but when it tried to load up the next screen, it stops. any advice of fixing this issue?

you can also use particles.

i was going through ideas of different types of animated textures, and this one i though look cool, so i thought i would show it.
i made the textures in After Effects, a color, bump, and displacement map, i also used the displacement map as a specularity map.
heres the project, the maps should be in it, if not, i can upload them here.

i suppose the thing thats bothering me is the lighting. I'm still experimenting with IBL. all three of the pictures use IBL, but they just don't come out right. I've played around with them, and i still can't quite get them right. i want them to look as if they were photographs.

I've made some images, but when i render, they just don't turn out quite how i want.
here are the images i rendered.
and here are the projects.
so, what should i do to make the images more, realistic?

I’ve seen these third party plugs-ins such as realflow and fume FX. which are particle engines used for rendering things like realistic fire and water. are any of these compatible with A:M?

Shot, edited, colour-corrected, composited, encoded - DONE.
Posted on YouTube to alleviate strain on the forum.
Couldn't have pulled it off without Animation:Master.

Warning...rather disturbing and graphic content. You have been warned.

So, do I deserve an "A+" ?

i have five computers in my house.
mine, the one I'm typing on, which is also the most powerful computer in the house.
My dad's laptop, the second most powerful.
My sister's, which has gone under 3 renovations, the third one hasn't come under any problems, yet.
My mothers, which hasn't been used in about a month.
and the family computer, which is seen its last days of use. so tragic.

dose any one know of a tutorial to make that new car paint job?

Very cool...HEY! That 'Vimeo' looks pretty neat...do you recommend it?
oh yes, i would heavily recommend it to some one who is serious about animation and film making. it can take any resolution, and you can post files up to 555 megs. plus the people there aren't a bunch of ignorant jerks who think you suck because your animation skill aren't Hollywood level.
What you use for the camera tracking ? That was cool.i didn't use camera tracking, i shot it on a tripod, so tracking was unnecessary.

the gun was made in A:M 13. i rendered the gun and then brought it into After Effects and added the muzzle flash and the blood. i rendered the gun in three passes, the color, the shadow, and the light.

huh, i just finished reading the book and then i saw this thread, spooky.

yea i have it, I'm doing a test render right now.
-
i think i figured it out, the images i was using were upside down. is there any way to flip them in A:M?

i read a tutorial on here for IBL using HDRI. i tried rendering it. and how it comes out completely dark.
it might be hard to see if you have dark monitor.
here's the project file.

i know this thread is old, but I'm anxious to see how the textures turned out.

there are no words in my vocabulary that could describe how awesome that thing is.
