  1. They are so cute when they are puppies. Kids love 'em. Cory Thanks and you are absolutley right. I should also add some counter-movement to the hips as well. I did a head shake in Slap Happy and when I went back and wiggled the hips opposite the head it kinda popped. Cory Is there a way to control the playback speed of a qt movie? I don't know much about quicktime I'm afraid. I could make the divx look better I just forgot to jack up the bitrate before I rendered. I'll try a qt version and post it. That would be a good idea as well. The slime inside the mouth is just a mapped 4 point patch. It's real simple and looks fairly good. Maybe I could make one break using a relationship to the jaw bone...might work. The drool hanging out his mouth is a hair emmitter, works out great with dynamics and all. I tried blobbies, which looked good, but the render times became awful. I also tried some sprites with a little success. What I'd like to see is a globby mass flow down and sling off the hair emitter. Maybe an animated sprite? I dunno. I'll do some experimenting then get back. Cory
  2. Thanks, Floor needs work. Apparently it's not solid enough. Lion, crocodile, vivid imagination. Depends on viscosity. Just kidding, you are right on all points. It was a first pass for both, I'll keep pecking away. Cory
  3. First pass at an attack- http://home.alltel.net/collinsfamily04/fliptakedown2.avi Detail of slobber and slimey mouth-- http://home.alltel.net/collinsfamily04/slobber.avi Cory
  4. Do you mean the iris or the whole eye? The iris is a map, I can post it for you if you want. The eyeball is just a sphere with an indentation for the iris and a lense made with the lathe. I suppose I could upload the whole model of the eye if you want. Cory Mouth creature. The neck is pretty gruesome though. Do you see the tie-in here? They will be involved with each other soon.... Thanks everyone, I'm glad everyone enjoyed it. I'll try to post more of my work in the future. I must say that joining this forum has helped inspire me tremendously, so thanks right back to all of you! Cory
  5. Thanks, everyone here is getting a kick out of it as well. Cory
  6. ....But this one goes to eleven.... Cory
  7. Thank you! I look forward to making more. The hi res version is nicer, but it's so big, I think the file size might be turning people off. I've already begun on Slap Happy part two. Cory
  8. Very, very nice. Well done! Cory
  9. You mean you have to have a license to animate? Oh no! I've been AWOL! (animating without a license) Looks really great! Cory
  10. I just got Slap Happy up at A:M Films. It's a lo res version at 15 fps, but it came across okay. Let me know what you think. See it here- http://amfilms.hash.com/search/entry.php?entry=1085 Cory
  11. Thanks again. I have not put him on CGTalk, where would he go? Yeah, drool and mouth movement are in the near future. I can hardly wait Cory
  12. I remodeled his shoulders and gave him a crocodile walk. I don't know what all that noise is at the end of the animation. Maybe compression artifacts, I dunno. Looks kinda cool though, like a film projector messing up. http://home.alltel.net/collinsfamily04/mouthanimate.avi Cory
  13. Thanks everyone, Yeah, the walk cycle was kinda thrown together. I see the point about the shoulders as well. I'll see what I can do. Cory
  14. Here is a new revision of the mouth creature. http://home.alltel.net/collinsfamily04/walk.avi I like the skin on this one. Thanks a bunch to Will for the excellent tute on mapping! One point though, if you use the approach of using one image pasted "through" the body, (from one side) the bump map portion becomes inverted on opposite sides. Color is fine, it's just the bump map. Due to normal direction I suppose. I now understand how to use the UV editor, and it is a gas! Cory
  15. thanks, I used a combination of two eggington rigs, one from the dog character mixed with the musana warrior character, and some custom spine work. Cory
  16. Thanks everyone, I have reboned and smartskinned him now, so stay tuned. Cory
  17. Here is what the eyeball creatures will arrive with... http://home.alltel.net/collinsfamily04/mouthwalk.avi It's still a WIP, I'm re boning and rigging right now. Then smartskin, then maps, and thenn...oh you know how it goes, it's never ending Cory
  18. Sorry, I lost my text there somehow. Now that I think about, the only similar thing I had was http://home.alltel.net/collinsfamily04/eyerobot.avi But it is about five years old now. Cory
  19. Thanks for the compliments. I have not posted a creature like this one before, as I just made it. Thanks for the tutorial link, that will be invaluable. You made it look so simple. As for contributing to the TWO project, I don't have v13, the latest I have is 11.1. I could model I suppose. I'll look into it. Thanks again. Any suggestions as to how to pick the path to constrain a model in the chor window in 11? The target list always shows up empty, and I can't seem to get a path picked with the dropper tool... Or should this be in another forum?
  20. Here's a little peek at a creature I'm working on. http://home.alltel.net/collinsfamily04/testjump2.avi I'm decent at modeling and okay at animating, but I'm horrible at texturing. Would anyone care to trade some modeling or animating for texturing and mapping? Also, I made this in 8.5 although I'm finally breaking out 11 now. I can't seem to be able to pick the path this guy follows in the choreography window in 11.1 on a windows machine. Any suggestions? Cory
