Thanks Paul, I though it has to be pose action but never know that all constrains can be in one pose on/off.
-
I forgot to ask, I have seen the 'Thom' has constrains to it but not in the action window, how to embed constrains to the model itself? Is it under relationship?
I see the three point rounding at the corners of a box that produce a natural rounding, I always thought that 3cp is no good in rendering axcept for flat surface.
Here is the machine:

Thanks for the 'inorganic' link,
Here is my latest atempt; machine with constrains.
I like to see improvement if anyone interested, its very hard to me.

I use AM to model like polygon sometimes and never use hooks or 5 pt.
What I do is to import into Carrara, edit the mesh where hooks were disconnected in AM and triagulate, clean up internal patches because continuos spline is a closed polygon.
Then I export them to Zbrush for texturing and import to Hash for rigging and pose actions to be use as morph targets back in Carrara.
Through this process, I am able to transform AM models to polygon, hope you'll find the way to do the same too.

I have this question before but could not find the post, here is how you can save your custom keyboard shortcut.
PC: START, RUN, type:
regedit /e c:\keyboard.reg "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Hash, Inc.\Animation Master V11.0\ProfUIS225"
Run before you reset all settings.
I keep this handy.

Thanks Julian,
I found another approach, place the object in the center and align it back into position in an action.
Hey I am Fong too.
-
I have not use cylinder mapping on an off centered model part before, how do I align the map? Where is the repeat function or no longer in the latest version, if removed how do you decal snake scale?
thanks.
Sorry, I found the repeat ( show property triangle )

I may suggest that you use more than one light to lit the scene to acquire refletions from all sides, a virtual scene is complete black and you decide what you want in it.
Like an empty room with nothing not even windows.
As for the harsh reflection, check that you have soft reflection on in the option tab and vary the softness settings.
You are a hash fellow, do you only write codes?

I am impressed, up to this point, I still have problems with mechanical modeling, maybe don't have the time to really find out the technique.
Preserving the curvature at one end and straight on the other require precision bias handling.
Is there a compilation of mechanical modeling some where?
-
I feel the same too but my PC is slow p4 1.4, 512ram.
-
You can set the bias handles in different direction by press 'p' to peak then pull them while holding down shift or ctrl or is that alt???
Anyhow it does not work on edges where there is no continuous spline.
I think that is what you are aftering.

great hair!
I have never got the chance to do that yet, always good to to see the process documented.

Thanks for the help, I did not get back my keyboard shortcut keys though, maybe another time.
I will try that one more time.....

When I render a single Targa image, the setting used to be 0,0 step 1 but now I get an invalid file, has this been fixed in the latest v11t ?
And one more thing, I can't tweek the bias handle in action window with mouse only by keyboard?
Why do I always lose my magnet radius and have to reset all settings to get it back, then I have to set my personal keyboard options.
Thanks

I see, thanks JTalbotski.
I have the model included if anyone interested to work on it. The job is done and I have to move on with the next, maybe some other day when I need to call up the tiger again, then I'll improve it further.

Hi KenH, the paws are for children to count, realistic would need some imperfections all over. My company is doing education courseware.
From my experience, a clean texture and proportionate structure is the basis so that they can be reuse and parts are created for cloning especially stretch area.
In the future, my texture will be applied using UVW mapping and patch up the re-constructed area with additional decal if the model is to be render in AM. But for now I just create action morph targets for other app.
Here are some of the decals....

wire model, bias handle is particularly useful on low patch structure.
