Is there a way to have an object not recieve the ao color or alter the color it recieves? That would be handy.

This is one of the first projects I did in 2000 with animation master. I am trying to get a reel together for my website and thought it would make a good intro. I did a new render of it with ao. You can see here the improvement in me and a:m over the years. I atached the old and new one.

Looking nice will. Did you use any special light settings for that render? it looks nice. I like seeing him in an environment.

You need the obj plugin. Bryce can load obj's so export obj from hash. If you have version 14 it is included. If not download it from the hash ftp site.

Nice start. That horse looks like he should be much bigger though.

Here he is without the shimmer. Now I have to think of a funny animation for him. Yves gave me tips for getting rid of the shimmer. I made the hair thicker and used multipass.

I like this a lot. I really like the style. I can picture a cool stylized character on it.

I put a simple rig in him. Here is a quick little animation. Does anyone know how to get rid of the shimmering in the hair?

I might rig him up and do a little something with him. I won't be using ao for an animation render with hair though. I turned down the ambient value on this last render anyway so it didn't make as much difference as a 2 and a half hour render should take anyway. I'd like to do a little more refinement to the hair too. Someone suggested I give him arms. That might be funny. I'm thinking about it. I have a hard time rigging without tsm these days. I need to learn to use and modify the squetch rig.

That's a really nice head and skin. Your edges are a little rough. Maybe a multipass render will help?

Animation Master bombing the nazis! love it!
Seriously, it is really hard to find any criticisms for this. Your wireframe geometry is impecable (sp?) and your render is easily mistaken for a photo. It is hard to find any give away except I've never seen the a:m logo on a plane.
