Did you rotate Thom on the spot or did you use camera movement?
Nice work.
Thanks.
I rotated Thom on the spot. He does two cycles of resolute walk as he turns.

More truthfully I was once given a "Rule" concerning the spelling of the name Alan/Allen/etc. in first, middle and last names. I guess Allan wasn't in that rule.
My middle name is Alan. My father's middle name is Allan. Do either of these fit the rule? Obviously, my parents thought one was better than the other.

Hi Racreel,
Thats a great pic you have of the plane, I especially like the spinning prop, it adds to the realism, how did you acheive that?
Kind Regards
Bill
Nice FW Racreel!Did you add the prop blur in post or is it a still from an animated prop?
Thanks for the kind words on the FW-190. The prop is a mixture of animated and post. I animated it in a chor for some motion blur, but wasn't getting all that I wanted, so I blended 3 frames in Paintshop Pro to get more of a disc. If the plane were in motion in an anim, I think the blur in the chor would have been enough, but I wanted a little more for the still.
Here are 3 original frames before blending...
On to that giraffe.

Hey, that's a cool model.
Excuse my ignorance but what's an Osprey??
Yes, an osprey is a bird. But, in this case, it's a model that John has done a modelling tutorial for. His post is here.

Richard,
Your flower scene was very theatrical. Nice storytelling.
You can feel the emotion as the flower greets the new day.
Being able to convey a story silently is a great indicator you have what it takes to succeed in animation.
Althought silent, I could almost hear the musical accompaniment.
Thanks Rodney!
I've also done some work on John's modelling tutorial for the Osprey, though I haven't done the engine part yet. It is here.

Great work on the flower Richard!
You've quite literaly brought it to life.
Nice work with the lighting too, well done, you're working at some pace, keep it up!
Thanks again!
It's rained here all through the 4 day weekend, so I've had some free time to work on this.
Since the flower was boned in the tutorial, it seemed silly not to animate it.

Now that we have animated distortion cages we may need to add on to that exercise and make that car burn it's tires and tear off down the road.
I thought about adding some tire smoke, but decided to wait for the "Smoke, Wind, and Fire" tutorial.
Here's exercise 9, flowerpower, with some animation.

Hey Racreel ... I like it, especially the waving tail. like most cats they tend to wave the tail slow like that when they are angry, so a nice choice in my view.
Bill
Thanks Bill!
We have two cats, so I see that alot.

Exercise 7, say that.

My take on the stuck door, exercise 6.

Take a walk, just walking in place, no path in this one.

I started running through some of the exercises with A:M 2005 11.1. Here is "It's a pitch."
