  1. I know that there are several people working hard on the character rigs, and doing a very good job. :D

Is any one working on rigging the props? I was working with the cutters last night and noticed that they haven't been rigged for movement. This isn't a big deal right now, since this is a blocking pass, but at some point they will need to open and close. I didn't know if we should go ahead and rig something like this or wait for an "official" rigger to take care of it.

  2. Is everyone supposed to be modelling to a common scale? I am having a problem with the Ku-Klip model and the Ku-Klip's workshop proxy. The workbenches, chairs, etc. are way out of proportion to the character model. I would think that we would NOT want to be scaling the models in the chor to make them fit.

The Ku-Klip model is about 120 cm tall, which is fine if he's supposed to be short. But, the table behind him is also 120 cm tall, which doesn't make sense if this is his workshop, the furniture would be scaled for his use. And, 120 cm is pretty tall for a table any way, none of my tables are 4 feet tall. :)

  3. Hi all,

Many of you will start getting allocated random Props to texture. Rather than asking for volunteers, martin has suggested making Random Allocations - so I have done so. It's not a big task - basic texturing - decals etc are not a requirement.

    Cheers

Thanks for the heads up, I was a bit confused by the email message this morning. :D

  4. Martin,

    Sent the email...

    Bob,

Just to be clear on what you want: you want the sequences marked as seq.A...seq.Z and each sequence will be broken down into scenes sc1...scN, with each sequence starting with sc1, correct?

Do you want the sequences broken out into individual .avi's or do you want one file with all sequences included?

  5. HI Richard

Ok, if you can get me something before the weekend, I can do it. I'll be out of town Dec. 16 - 22, and then have Christmas, so I wouldn't be able to work on it again until after Christmas.

  6. I had a similar problem trying to use one of the recent Scarecrows in V11.1i. When I would do Paste Mirrored, it would crash to the desktop. When I use the Round 3 Scarecrow, it works fine in V11.1i. I asked about this in an earlier post in this thread and no one responded.

Sorry I missed the original post, Richard. I tried saving the latest version in v11 to see if it would fix the problem, but it didn't work. I've been working on it in v12o and then testing in the 13alpha that is available trying to get the IK/FK switch to work...it still needs to be tested in the next 13alpha. I could go back and get a previous version in v11.1 and then swap out what has been changed...what is the latest version that works for you?

I've been using the Round 3, it works fine. I haven't tried anything between 3 and 5.

    Richard

EDIT: I tried the Round 4 and a couple of different Round 5's, they all crashed when doing a Paste Mirrored in V11.1i. I haven't had any problems with the Round 3.

  7. Right now we have a running movie it needs to be segmented in to Sequences and scenes with numbers deliniating them, so we can hand out and track the individual sections. It's tedious but neccessary.I would suggest color keying the slates also. For instance say 10 frames of blue leader in front of the first sequence saying "seq.A"opening" then 2 frame slates sc1 thru what ever in front of every scene break until we get to the next sequence and say color it yellow for 10 frames before the start of the sequenece again and then number the scenes with yellow slates sc1 thru what ever. and on and on until we get to the end whew.....I can get with whoever wants to do this and show where the sequence breaks are and what well call them .

Do you have a version of the script with the sequences/scenes specified? Are the 10 current animatics individual sequences or do they include multiple sequences per file?

I could work on this over the weekend if you have the necessary info available for the sequences/scenes.

  8. Hi guys, WONDERFUL model. I had a little spare time today and DL'd it to try to do a little 'scarecrow-ey' walk but I could'nt get too far without a crash, here's what I did (3X):

    -Opened model in A:M V11.1i(on a PC)

    -Made new action for model

-Played with/posed model for first frame of walking.

-Then I was going to make a 'Key Model' keyframe on a frame further down the line (1:10ish)...upon hitting the 'key model' button in the lower left of the app I crashed, over and over.

If you can't recreate this or I am missing a crucial pose switch or should'nt be nosing around here anyhoo then...nevermind.

  9. Some more progress. The nose still looks like a dog's. i think I'll move onto the eyes next.

Here's a look at the mouth. All those neat little circles...I love Jason Osipa!

    [attachmentid=11285][attachmentid=11286]

And a new view of the smoother, nicer cheeks!

(Frank, I'm looking forward to animating this guy, too!)

    Matt

I think that the nose should be flattened some and more upturned. That would be more "bunny-like" to me. Good job so far.

  10. So search engines can now scan the whole list? (It can - I just found links in Google to the forums).

Is this a good idea? It means that all the information that people post in these forums, including names, becomes publically available in the search engines.

Why is this a big deal? This is an open forum to anyone that wants to visit. You don't have to be logged in to read the forums. You should never post anything to a message board that you don't want people on the internet to see. This is a good guideline for anyone using the net.

  11. I notice people having opening and closing credits and there logo on video's while playing. So if I create .mov files what programs can open them be able to add these types of things and save them a .mov format?

I use Adobe Premiere that I got from ebay. You can usually get a copy that is one or two versions back for a good price. I also have an older version of After Effects that is great for overlaying video, logos, effects. etc. :)
