  1. It's a BRAND... NEW*... DELAHAYE!

    DelRedMP4_1200.mov

Another modeling and material experiment for my book.

I was going to call this the "one-hour car", but I spent three hours lighting it.

    * 1947 model year. Tax, title, and license extra. May not meet modern emission standards. Wide white sidewall bias-ply tires are for display only and may not be roadworthy above 25 mph. Passenger compartment is an extra cost option installed by the dealer. Dealers may not be in your area as the Delahaye company ceased to exist in 1954. Seat belts not available. Always park on a hill so you can start the engine by engaging the clutch as the car rolls down the incline. Never park on a hill as the safety brake is the object of a recall. Interior of car may contain numerous clowns who will jump out at you from the trunk. Open with caution. Always drive carefully. Do not drink and drive. If you need a drink after driving your 1947 Delahaye, a bottle of Mad Dog 20/20 may be concealed in the "glove compartment".

Just Curious, What sort of material have you been using to get that nice glossy sheen? I cant for the life of me figure out how to use materials effectively...

  2. modeler available. I wanted to help you guys out with your project...I could use the exercise in quick modeling.

Here's a Quick list on who's working on what pokemon. Thanks for your offer!

Does this mean that I should pick something?

If you would like, For the moment, I'm still waiting on getting my own personal computer. I'm out of commission for a while until i get a new copy of A:M as well. just, anything that we haven't chossen yet :D

  3. Incredible... I am DEEPLY humbled. When i have the money for my own computer, I will have a much easier time using less control points, and such, perfecting my models. However, with the school computers i was using, it WAS vital to have such detailed splining for the lack of detail in the computer's renders. I hate having to work with so many points, to be honest, I would much rather work in a format such as the one that you you have shown with the links. THIS is the sort of animation i aspire to. I really want to push my talent this far, if not further. True, the detail in his models is magnificant, but i can also see where minor adjustments could be made, even to improve his model. I can't say enough, though how humbling it is to see such perfect precision in splining and detail, I am very, very impressed!

  4. wow. this is awesome man.

their are a lot of cp's and stuff but heck it looks good and it doesnt appear to be slowing you down at all.

    great job

Thanks again Tot. Seems like you've got an eye for my stuff... ;) Here's my final project that I'm giving my client.

  5. Usually when there is a file error like this, the only way to fix it is to go in an manually edit it with a text editing program. However I have heard that if you send a copy to the support team at HASH, they might be able to recover it for you.

HAHA! Finally she's Fixed! Thanks to all of the Support staff, i really appreciate it! Here she is, All finished! Anyone got any ideas for a background?

  6. Very nice! I am a big FSN fan and I think you did a great job with the model

Thanks so much! Un fortunately, I went to save the project a while ago and it became corrupt. The flaw is that for some godforsaken reason, there ended up being a duplicate of the "Actions" and "Choreography" Folders INSIDE the Model's GROUPS folder. Does anyone have any idea how to solve this?

  7. can we see wireframe..

    great job man.

Thanks! Saber's beginning to grow on me. I'm really enjoying it now that she's taking form.

Hahah... trust me, wireframe hurts, but when i get time, i'll break down the pieces for viewing. I don't have Hash at home so this is all i can show for now. I should have the results by tomorrow. I'll probably be done with the boots by then as well.

  8. If Joan Crawfrod were alive I bet she'd be doing a live action movie like this. Big shoulder pads and thin waist.

That looks like a good start. Making the petticoat (?) look ruffly wil be tough. The shoulder pads look a bit lumpy. But I don't know the character well.

Fixed up a ton of things. As for the shoulders, they seem that way, much because of her not having her gauntlets on... no less hands. They will thin out with the gaunts, later.

  10. thanks... but yeah, I was the one who made the unowns

Ah yes! Very well done too! :)

...and they aren't from 1 to 150 are they...

    I'm so forgetful.

Still... post them here for completeness sake. Pretty please!

As requested, here's the unown alphabet.

  11. I like. :)

Someone else here already modeled the 'unknown' characters. I think the topic was called 'unnown' or something similar. Think... think... Who was it... Kamikaze?

Hope others join in or you are going to be working through the rest of the 150 for the better part of the year!

Maybe you could work out some kind of trading system to reward others who join in and help make the rest by sharing the models?

    Very nice Mewtwo. :)

thanks... but yeah, I was the one who made the unowns :D

  12. 150, eh? This should be a fun thread to watch...

We're gunna try and go fast, too! I made mewtwo in two days. Sorry, i couldn't help tinkering around with him some more, so here's mewtwo's final shot with rigging and everything! Hope you like it.

EDIT: I kinda screwed up the wrists and elbows so here's the fixed rig.

  13. Well, i've got the detail all down to him without his hair. I'm still not sure if i want to use a plugin, or to model seperate strands of hair as objects. I have a number of pictures as referance for his hair... all of them are going to be difficult to use though.

  14. Wow, that's a great style you have going there Cross,

Maybe you could make a Gundam like battle scene. :D

EDIT- Where did you find that awesome background, or did you make it?

One of my friends on Deviant Art was nice enough to make the background for me. Guru in Photoshop :D
