Moonshine Posted July 24, 2004 Posted July 24, 2004 Here is something that I did recently. Let me know what you think. Quote
littleandy Posted July 25, 2004 Posted July 25, 2004 Wow, the logs are cool. Maybe the scene would do well to have another faint light coming from somewhere in front or to the side of the sneaking guy? Just an idea... -Andrew Quote
Moonshine Posted July 26, 2004 Author Posted July 26, 2004 Thanks. Yeah, I'm still fooling around with the lighting. I did a bunch of versions with different light set ups. This was the dark creepy version. For the logs I took a piece of flat clay and made the texture in the clay. Then I scanned it and colored it in Photoshop then applied it as a color and bump map. It's not really "realistic" but since the figure isn't either it seems to work well. Of course the render time is about 1.5 min.. Any suggestions on cutting that down or is that reasonable? Quote
littleandy Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 I think 1.5 minutes isn't too bad... depends on how many lights you have in the scene and how many splines. What does the wireframe look like? And nice idea with the clay. Very resourceful! Maybe that stuff in the cranium game is actually good for something. -Andrew Quote
