Simon Edmondson
I'm interested in doing a project with a mix of CG 3D and hand drawn animation and wondered if anybody could recommend some examples of other people who have worked in that sort of area. My favourite animated feature, The Iron Giant, uses a combination of 3Dcg and hand drawn animation and the Danial Greaves short "Flatworld" (if you haven't seen it its woth looking up ) makes great play between flat drawn animation and drawn 3D combined with constructed sets. Tore recently introduced me to Snip and Snap, which I hadn't seen before, and I've seen shots of, but not seen the whole episode, where Homer Simpson goes into 3D but, does anyone know of other examples ? regards simon
Tore
Did I recommend Sabine Ravn's animations to you earlier? Anyway, they are excellent examples of a happy marriage between 2D and 3D and stop motion. Take a look at "Bernie & Bingo" https://vimeo.com/58815975 "The Story" (also adds live action into the mix) https://vimeo.com/76430451
