What I like about your short spoofs is that they poke fun at 2 key concepts. When a movies characters or plot is NOT true to itself meaning it does not fallow its own self proclaimed and confessed rules or laws.

And secondly when a movie thinks the audience should just buy some exposition to explain away something else that does not make sense or should not have happened in the movie but the writers, producers and directors are not creative enough to solve properly.

 

 

The Green Lantern Movie had a lot of potential but unfortunately had to many contradictions to suspend disbelief which kept throwing me out of the reality of the movie. The questions below should give you plenty of material to work with for your next video.

 

What is the green emerald and apparently permanent material encasing / imprisoning parallax? I ask because the green light of WILL is not permanent and needs to be recharged which begs the question.

 

If Abin Sur was able to defeat parallax before why was he so useless the 2nd time when Parallax attacked hin on the ship? Ok this one ill let go because you could say Parallax had gotten more powerful than before and he caught Abin Sur off guard.

 

Why didn't the drone jets simply wait until Hal's jet fell from the sky? Ok Ill let them get away with that one because the drones could be stupid.

 

But the better question and funnier obvious point is didn't we see this maneuver twice in the Iron Man Movie? Come on guys are we that hard up for ideas we steel from a competing comic book movie made a few years earlier?

 

If the rings choice in a future owner is never wrong why do what appears to be most of the lanterns imply its choice was incorrect with Hal Jorden?

 

why do the bad guys using the yellow light of fear not need a ring to facilitate their power?

 

Why does the Yellow Light of Fear give telekinetic powers and not construct powers like the other colors?

 

If Lanterns are without fear why do they succumb to it and die when they attack Parallax?

 

How did Sinestro escape that situation anyways? was he afraid and fled?

 

Is the whole "GREEN LANTERNS are without fear" a saying that does not really mean anything? Kind of like the line at the end of the movie that does not mean anything "Humanity proved to be his greatest strength"

 

If Hal says he quit the green Lantern corps why is he allowed to return to Earth with the ring and lantern?

 

If the Guardians are so smart and created everything why do they all unanimously forge a yellow ring which obviously has bad consequences?

 

The Guardians say that parallax was their greatest enemy or something like that. Doesn't that line kind of leave the filmmakers with no where to go for the next film.

 

Why does Hal Jorden need to ask permission to fight to save his planet? Wasn't he Already on his planet with the ring? Couldn't he have just gone back like he did before when he quit.

 

Why does the Green ring give the power to allow the bad guy to stand up after being apparently in capable yet his own yellow powers could not allow him to stand?

 

Why is the girls computer which launches the rockets that strike at Paralax boot up lightning fast when we all know the fastest computers take much longer to boot? Ok ill give them that one. They could have super fast computers.

 

Kilowag makes a statement bragging about his training at the end of the movie. Unless I missed something the training was like 1 time for 5 minutes. Not much to brag about.

There has got to be a funny bit you could do based on the whole quitting thing.
