Aaargh! How do you get rid of the grid?

I'm setting up to do the FW-190 tutorial and have reached the point where I'm not going to be able to actually see the rotoscope model I'm supposed to be modeling. Specifically, the grid is in the way. I've tried setting the grid size to 0 but it still persists in being there. How do you hide the grid, or failing that, how can I place the rotoscope image in front of it? (I notice that in the tutorial photos there is no grid at all.)

In Options>modeling tab there's a "Display Grid" check.

You can't see the rotoscope? It shows here. I presume you have the "View" inthe rotoscopes properites set to the right view?

I didn't mean that literally. It's just that the grid lines were so thick it was visually distracting and optically misleading and was going to make the job difficult at best. Anyway, thanks for the lead to modeling>display grid. I don't know how I missed that.

Can you actually get the grid to change thickness?

I just tried it. It changes in the preview window but the actual grids in the model window stay one pixel thick.

Yup, you're right. I could not get thickness to change in model window, and I did not actually change it when trying it out (hit cancel instead). Also just noticed that it seems that every 5th grid line (model window) is slightly thicker than intermediate ones.

I also I seem to remember in previous version(s?) that grid size line would change (long time ago?). I believe I once had inadvertently changed it.
