elliotclem1 Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 hi there, I'm looking for a program that is able to convert my video footage into a jpeg image sequence. My source footage is .mp4. Would anyone know of any free programs that would be able to do this for me? I do remember sometime ago using a program that did this but i've forgotten the name now. I have adobe after effects if that helps? Many Thanks Elliot Quote
John Bigboote Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 I have adobe after effects if that helps? That is the MOTHERSHIP of all converters! Open AE, Import your MP4, Drag it onto a timeline, add the new comp to the render queue, set your render output settings to jpeg, render. Quote
John Bigboote Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Theoretically, you should be able to use A:M to do the conversion- altho there has been issues with Quicktime over the years... I think it is hit-or-miss from version to version and Mac or PC... Quote
Walter Baker Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 I have done mine with QuickTime Pro ($29) has worked well and I have converted mine as .tga sequences. AM will place them as Rotoscopes in the Chor./Camera location. Haven't tried it with After Effects but should still do the job. Quote
Bobby Posted July 13, 2011 Posted July 13, 2011 You can use GIMP with Gimp GAP (Gimp Animation Plugin), [ Menu: Video > Split Video into Frames > Extract Videorange ] all free. Quote
