Thigh bones bugging out - snapping, ignoring cloth

Working on trying to get a robe around some legs, and the robe is completely ignoring all CPs assigned to certain bones. I tried assigning the CPs to a different bone and the cloth detects them just fine... usually.

The CPs assigned to the bones also seem to "snap" back into place if I pause an animation in the middle.

Anyone got any experience with something like this, or know how to fix it?

 

Using 15g on OSX 10.5.8.

That's what I'm wondering. The CPs are all assigned deflector materials regardless. But when they're controlled by the thigh bones, the simcloth doesn't collide with them. When I assign the CPs to a different bone, the simcloth deflects properly.
