I'm working through the TAOA:M, and I just rendered the first animation. Following is what I got...

It lacks the detail shown in the manual - i.e. the pleating of the curtains and the texture of the stage. As far as I can tell, I followed the steps correctly. I chose final render quality, etc. Anyone have any idea where I went wrong?

Hi, Steve - your render is correct for the latest version - the previous version had materials applied to the stage model, which gave it pleats, but the latest version does not, I guess for speed of rendering.

The curtain has roughness applied in this version, which gives it that blotchy look.
