phade2 Posted January 1, 2004 Posted January 1, 2004 This was the last character I did in AM. I ventured off into the world of Maya for a while. My new year's res....do more stuff in AM!...LOL I need to update my version of AM I wanna try out the uv editor for the textures on this model. :D Quote
macb Posted January 1, 2004 Posted January 1, 2004 Hi Alan, looking good! is that a magic wand in his hand ? Quote
phade2 Posted January 1, 2004 Author Posted January 1, 2004 Thanks Michael yeah that's a wand...i got the idea from the movie willow. :P Quote
macb Posted January 1, 2004 Posted January 1, 2004 is A:M 7.1 is the latest version you are using ? The interface has changed somewhat since then.. but it's good. look forward to seeing it textured. m :) Quote
phade2 Posted January 1, 2004 Author Posted January 1, 2004 yeah 7.1 is the version i have right now. i'll be upgrading to 10 soon. i saw the features list and the interface....looks nice. i'll post up a painted version of him soon. :) Quote
Zaryin Posted January 1, 2004 Posted January 1, 2004 This is a great model. Did they even have 5-point patches and hooks in 7.1? Quote
phade2 Posted January 2, 2004 Author Posted January 2, 2004 Thanks Zaryin. I think hooks been around since ver 5. I think they had 5 pt patches in ver 2 (that's when i started using AM). or it could be the other way around....i just remember ver 5 was a huge jump from previous versions. Quote
DMerchen Posted January 2, 2004 Posted January 2, 2004 I think 5 point patches and hooks came around the same time. I had version 4 and never even heard of them until probably 5. Nice model! Quote
phade2 Posted January 4, 2004 Author Posted January 4, 2004 Thanks DMerchen...I think you're right. I looked at my old versions and didn't see those features on there. I guess it's a good thing though....starting with older versions....it got me in the habit of modeling things with 4 pt patches. It's vary rare that I'll use a 5 pt patch or hooks in a model. Quote
Dearmad Posted January 4, 2004 Posted January 4, 2004 Nice! Modelling looks smooth- WIREFRAME please! Allow us to learn. Quote
