Chroma key background

How do we render the background as one color besides black? We want to edit our cat into a film so it is dancing with a live person. Our teacher can't figure it out when he is supposed to help us!

I think what your after is in the camera just go to the camera in the pw's and change your colour from there ,remember to deleat the ground if its not wanted ,

edit , or you could use alpha ,in the buffers in the render to file window ,that will composite very well
