myfish Posted August 8, 2005 Share Posted August 8, 2005 its going to be VERY difficult to emulate the "hamon" and "hada" of the blade with materials. Decals are the way to go. There is a nice shot "both sides" of a blade here sword photos I think its quite hard to get a really nice reflective and accurate polished metal surface with AM's renderer, so why make it harder than it should be. try the decals, and remember, they can be used in many ways....
