mediaho Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 Wasn't someone working on this for A:M? I haven't heard anything in a while. I remember a few people have picked up the task only to abandon it. Quote
Paul Forwood Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 I would also be interested in knowing whether this feature is still being worked on or whether it has been abandoned. I find mapping complex shapes, with any level of precision, is a real headache so anything that makes the process more natural would be welcomed with open arms. Quote
KenH Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 I'd love this feature too. Here's the original thread: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11456 Quote
pequod Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 Here's a chap who purports to be working on such a thing: http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showt...ndpost&p=103164 Quote
nyahkitty Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 Yes. There was a bit of chat every now and again regards 3D paint engine for Hash A:M. The short of it is that writing a plugin for this would be more of a project for a team than an individual (because of the complexity) and that it would help if more of the Hash A:M SDK were opened up. Anyone have a month's worth of wages sufficient for a team of ten to throw at this feature? Quote
mediaho Posted May 12, 2005 Author Posted May 12, 2005 nyahkitty, did you follow Stephen Milligan's (pequod) link above? Looks like it's already in the works. Quote
