zandoriastudios Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 This is the printed version of the A:M Technical Reference that is available online. I have edited it and formatted it to get it into book form. It is print-on-demand through cafepress. When you order a book, they print it, bind it, and ship it to you. It is black and white, 226 pages, $23.98 You can get it here: http://www.cafeshops.com/zandoria.9928938 I am planning on doing a new one for V12 later this spring. If you are using the current version of A:M (11.1) then the first chapter on INTERFACE is obsolete, so just ignore it. There is documentation of dynamic constraints properties on the online version that was unavailable when this version was published-- I recommend watching the TechTalk videos for a full explanation of that feature. If you have any questions or reviews, please feel free to ask them here Quote
UNGLAUBLICHUSA Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 Review: One of the best book purchases I have made, I use it all the time and find it to be indespensable. Money well spent to say the least, I keep it next to my PC at all times...unless I smuggle it to work to read on lunch break. Quote
higginsdj Posted February 18, 2005 Posted February 18, 2005 Hi Will, My only complaint about the version 11 book is the Index. Unless you know the exact official name for something - and/or what part of the program it lies in - you have to troll the book for it. Newbies particulalry need to be able to find something by what it is rather than the proper name. Cheers Quote
heyvern Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 Can't say I ever encountered the index problem.... I suppose though a new user might have that experience... ..If you created the index based on how I remember and call things in AM... everything could be under one listing called.... "That thingy that does that thing with the thing................page 1" Excellent book. Look forward to v12... p.s. Maybe they won't completely change the interface on you this time! UNGLAUBLICHUSA Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 Enough about your "thingy" vern this is a "PG" forum.... Quote
