John Bigboote Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 Okay- Now that I am rendering my 'Rolling Stones' final animation...I start to think...perhaps I should have Weight Moved them... Looking for advice on doing this AFTER the fact... My gut tells me I should... A- Make low res proxies of my models, save as proxies. B- REMOVE all bones from my characters, save as..., re-apply TSM2 bones. C- Run thru WM to assign CP's to bones... D- Run thru TSM2 to rig... E- Switch out old for new characters in the chor...hoping that old animated actions and pose sliders will work. (they should...the originals were rigged with TSM2... and the pose-sliders should have stayed with the model, most are muscle-mode animated, not bone animated...) What am I missing? Quote
Morgan Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 I would seriously consider trying the method Xtaz asked about here first. Copy your geometry and group it as "hi-res," use your original geometry as "lo-res," and run WeightMover on that. I think there's a good chance that'll give you enough smoothing, and that way you avoid the hassle of making a proxy and completely redoing your skeleton. Quote
John Bigboote Posted December 20, 2004 Author Posted December 20, 2004 WILL DO! Thanks Morgan. I'll let you know how I do... HEY! any luck with the finger-roll 'paste-mirrored' problem? Were you able to recreate the problem with paste mirrored? I know you are very busy with the mac-port right now but your presence here on the forum is appreciated. THANKS AGAIN! Quote
