Have started trying to model a Trial motorbike for use in the current project. They all seemto have spoked wheelsrather than the alloy type used by road racersa nd production types. What might be the best way to model the spokes ? I recall someone suggesting using "render as lines" to a similar question in the past. Have tried that but, it came out as a solid disc. Deleted the rim part, leaving the splines behind, and they don't show up as lines, although that is selected under properties. Does Toon render have to be engaged for that to work or, am I missing something ? ( again ) Thanks simon

I was trying to get a decal to scroll up over the surface of a flat model in the chor but couldn't manage it. Does anyone know of a way to do it ? I should perhaps explain further that, as part of a project at college, someone else designed a Logo which I then made in AM ( its a stylised H ). the intion was to then have some text scroll up the right column of the H within the chor so it could be rendered out as a mov file. Tried to changed the Y values of the decal over 5 seconds but it didn't seem to work that way ? Two related questions, Initially I tried to use a cookie cutter map to project light through a flat, so it would come out on the sufrace of the H but had trouble with that ? In 3D studio ( all those years ago ) it was possible to put a map, or mov, file onto a light so it would act as a projector. Is that possible in AM ? Simon

A long time ago, in a different thread it was explained how to use Frame burn as a post effect to get the timecode burned in at render time. I should have thought of it before but, I rendered a sequence overnight and now need to go back and correct the errors. Frame Burn would have helped in that. Drat ! So it seemed it might be possible to do in a composite way by putting the renders on a layer and putting Frame Burn on those renders? However, when looking at them the file name is there but not the 00:00:00 time code sequence. The post effect is active, applied in the render settings is there another step I'm missing ? simon
