Hi i am Jason,
It has been a little while since i have been active on the forums which has been down to some slight medical problems. With them now sorted i hope to be a lot more active again ! I know i need to start from scratch again but just loading up AM16/17
i felt straight at home again,a little fumbling here and there and i started to remember where things were and what they did.... It may be a little while longer before i start posting things again but i will starting over in again in TaoAm to get up to speed and hopefully start to create some new works.
I have been lurking around in the Forums over the years and have been impressed by the great work created by everyone, and also the improvements in AM implemented by Steffen.
I can't wait to get started again.
See you soon

Hi Rusty,
I'll be honest,I like all three renders that you have done. What type of mood you are after in the sequence?

I'd guess being a youngman all your life will have distinct advantages when it comes to burning the candle animating into the night.
Trust me i felt it this afternoon
I confess I feel a tinge of guilt for not trying to steer you away from using such animation in a single pose. The little voice is saying "Its... its... ITS JUST NOT DONE THAT WAY!".When i was creating the pose i had a little voice at one side saying this really ought to be an action, and on the other side the slightly more dominant voice saying nah !..just do it.

Had a lot of fun with this one.
This is the first time i've created a pose, and went a little nuts with it.
This was all done with one pose.
And here are some screen grabs.
Gotta run as i'm up for work in 5hrs time, time sure does fly when your having fun.

Ken,
The throne is from SO,What i meant to say is that i wasn't on a throne when making that face trying to figure out how to use the rig.
Sorry for any confusion,Humor isn't one of my best strengths.

Hi Rodney,
I would like to join in with you if that's ok?
Going through this with you should be fun.I would certainly like to learn more about the Sqeulch Rig as at the moment it looks quite confusing, far too many options going on there..
Here is my contribution.
And here is the pose i had while looking at the rig.
(Throne not included)

Hi Caroline,
That's a great treatment. Is that done through lighting, and/or material with edge threshold? The material is the Darktree MetallicPaintShader.dts with no tweaks applied. The render was done as Ao,all the settings were set at 100% intensity, occlusion and sampling.
I had just one Kleig light in the Cho.
Even though i wasn't that enthusiastic with this,i always wanted to do a good job on it no matter how long it took me to finish..

Name: Jason Young
Exercise completed: Exercise 11
Date completed: 22-7-2008
I'll be honest with you.i did not take to this exercise well. The modeling was not too hard but i just could not find the enthusiasm to do this, which is why it's taken so long to post this from my last exercise.I supose there are some exercises which are like that.On a more positive note i'm looking forward to 11.5 which should be a good challange.

Hi Jason,
It is scene 2_07_65b dated 26-4-08 (4-26-08),I didn't realise that it was that far back so it could have been sorted already.

Just ran a quick test on the pocket watch project and the render time was 2:12,and that was with Webrender running as well.Scene 2_07_065a which has hair in the render.

For the fifth day in a row i am having problems trying to render via the Webrender.I keep having the same problems as before where the software keeps saying Retrieving the repository file.
I have managed a total of seven frames in those five days with six of them being today.
I can render the scene in V15b (Web subscription) with no problems.
Is anyone else having these problems?

Jay, what scene is that? I'm currently stuck in a "Loading Project" cycle on all of my machines.
Act 3_Sequence_1_26,27,28,29,31,32,33,34,35,36 + 37.A total of 207 frames rendered in approx 18hrs.

Try using the page up button on your keyboard this should hopefully sort out your problem.

I'm not sure what you mean, by the problem with the water. That solid light blue area under the bridge is part of the castle, not water.
Sorry my bad,I thought it was water which is why i thought i looked odd.

Another thing you can do is use the Patch group mode...
When you select the patch you require an untitled group will be made in your Pws,just rename this group to red, then in your surface properties change the colour to red etc.
If you want to select multiple patches for your group then select your first patch, hold down the shift button and continue to select the patches required. When you have finished just rename the untitled group in your Pws.

A lot longer than the 2hrs stated by the manual...But i enjoyed doing it.
I've made a few mistakes while doing this so have decided to post the model in it's current state.I will be going to make this again from scratch as a side project as i promised myself that i would finish TAoA:M this year.
