  1. Thanks for replying Robert. How silly of me! Yes, you are right! As you can see I have not dragged the sound into the chore. By double clicking it opened up and showed in the timeline but of cause to play in the frame transporter it has first to be dragged into the chore. Maybe this mistake has told me the importance of dragging anything into the chore first to become active. Thank you Robert!!! :-)
  2. Its easier then you think. Have a look at this attachment and you will understand the way those rubber strings work. Have a look at this very helpful site: “ http://www.colins-loft.net/tutorials.html ” You will love it. I had the same problem some weeks back but after having a look at this site it all made sense. If I can, you can too. Have fun. Fybs. Creases.zip
  3. I have the playback sound problem again. From 16 bit 48,000 Hz Stereo WAV I converted it to a 16 bit 44,100 Hz Mono WAV file and it did not work. So I changed the different tipes of wav and it still did not work. I reduced the file to 44,100 16 bit and then down to a 32,000 Hz Mono WAV and it still would not play back the sound. I solved the problem once but I am sure I did exactly what I did now. Namely converting it from a high quality stereo wav file into a low quality mono WAV file. Can you please help me again on this one? Thanks Fybs.
  4. I might can only answer you the ice and glass question. It is easy I think. Well here is how I would do it. I would experiment using white as the Specular Colour and adjust the Specular Size to 30%. I would also play with the Diffuse Colour but the importance for Glass and Ice is of course its transparency, so I would set the transparency to almost 100%. The Reflection I would set very high too and I would add some noise or bump but I think in Animation Master it is called something different but similar. I am not on my Animation Master computer so I can only help you so far. You will only notice the ice or glass effect after you render it, so I would render some samples now and again. Try the tutorial for the eyeball, there is a reflective transparent part on it, the cornea or something. The lens of the eyeball. That’s almost like glass, and its an interesting tutorial with many other helpful tutorials. http://www.colins-loft.net/tutorials.html Hope this was of any use for you. Stick to it, the right answer is always coming when you looking for another one. Good luck and wish you lots of fun. Fybs.
  5. Hello. First of all I like to thank SlipingLizard; KenH; rossk; DarkLimit; UGP; Dhar and Rodney for helping me out so far. I am getting better avoiding those folds and creases. I have modelled the head the arm and leg. Now arrived at the foot I have another question. Can anyone suggest how best to model the foot of this baby? The bottom rim of the leg has 6 control points. How do I connect them with the 5 toes and the heal of the foot? The baby should have a plastic sort of look, so the toes don’t need much reality details. I thought that I might could join up some spheres as toes!? What is in your opinion the best way of finishing the foot? Thanx, in the hope that maybe by the end of the year, if I gained enough experience I can help others like you do now for me. Take care, Fybs.
  6. Thank you all. You have been very helpful. I take your advises and I think Slipin Lizard was definitely right that it will need first of all practice in finding out how to avoid those creases. My mistake was my excitement. I was too much in a hurry building this character I have been waiting so long to build. So now, I know that I have to plan my model more schematically for now. It definitely makes sense. I also like the explanation of gamma and alpha. That is exactly what I experienced. In time I am sure I will understand. I am downloading KenH’s advise the Avoid creases in your model tutorial and I thank you all for looking after me. Fybs.
  7. I would love to but I don’t know how to take a screen shot on a PC. Or do you know how else I can get you a jpg of a wire frame. I also don’t know what you mean by wire frame scrn. capt. I’m sorry….. Thank you for trying to help me out!
  8. Sorry Rodney, do not know where to post this! Why do I get creases and dents in my splines? Now this problem does not happen all the time, just on some tied places and curves. When I move (translate) a control point the new spline has a dent. Where does this dent come from? I have checked the difference with Peak and Smooth but that does not solve the problem. I tried to adjust the problem with the bias handles but no success. I have a jpg image that I would like to show you so you can see what I mean. Also I did not have this problem with the giraffe, maybe because I put more or less every control point to the same place as the tutorial but the problem started to appear in Exercise 11.5 Make a Face. I started another face from scratch and there where my creases again already near the beginning. So before I continue I thought I might ask your friendly advise again. I thank you and anyone else that can give me some advise how to avoid those creases and strange curves just before the control points. Thanx Fybs.
  9. Hello. I am having problems playing my sound files. I Opened in Sounds "My Library" which contains some empty folders like Cartoons and Animals. I don’t know where A:M has written those folders to, because I can’t find them nowhere on my hard disc. Anyhow, I clicked and dragged a wav sound file from my hard drive folder into this "My Library" window and I double clicked the icon that it created within this My Library window. The message says “Invalid sound file….Unsupported file type”. Now the sound file is a wav file I have edited in Adobe Audition. When I right click on the sound icon in My Library and pick play, the sound file plays and can not be stopped unless I close A:M completely. ?????What am I doing wrong?????? Thanx for everyone’s help… Fybs.
