  1. Correct, the first tut only is for the waves, but the third tut (if you could call it that) is about combining the waves with a wake created by an object http://www.babbagepatch.com/wakes.htm I realize the frustration people have currently with the tuts from my site. I did these way back in version 8.5. There have been many cool improvements it A:M that make many of the steps in my tutorials unnecessary. I have been promising to update these tut for ages, and as soon as I upgrade to v13/14 (currently using 12) I may get is done. I hope Charlie
  2. I have always defended the movie too. It has it's faults (Dread should have kept his helmet on through more then the first five minutes of the flick), but the ABC robot is awsome! I have the 6 foot Dread movie theater standup hanging in my dad's shop. Take a look at the sample metal flake I made here, it may suit your needs. http://www.hash.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=23134
  3. I'm glad people still find this useful. I have been trying to get an updated tut done for version 11/12, but it seems every time I get started, other work distracts me. SOON, I promise
  4. If you mean the alien pics, those are NOT AM: renders, just photos. My grandfather said he was a great, great, great, uncle. I was indeed named after him. For those interested the best bio on him I have read in called "The Difference Engine" (US title) or "The Cogwheel Brain" (UK title) by Doron Swade. Charles babbage also invented skeleton keys, the first speedometer for railroads, and the locomotive pilot (cowcatcher) That is the Scarlet Letter I wear for not posting enough
  5. Thanks for the comments Yes, but mostly for the real world stuff I do. Not so much for the 3D work Working on it It is one of my goals this month. Sadly it has been a rock in the real world and not one of AM patches I have been mostly working on physical props for movies and TV, like this goofy little guy. (These are photos, not AM renders) Alien 01 Alien 02 Alien 03
  6. It has been awhile since I posted any new work or entered any contests, but that is soon to change. I thought I would start off by posting a few of my older pieces entered in past contests. http://www.hash.com/stills/displayimage.php?pos=-1026 http://www.hash.com/stills/displayimage.php?pos=-1025 http://www.hash.com/stills/displayimage.php?pos=-1024 http://www.hash.com/stills/displayimage.php?pos=-1023 http://www.hash.com/stills/displayimage.php?pos=-1022 http://www.hash.com/stills/displayimage.php?pos=-1021
