  1. ...and the 2004 support files reference an 'Orangutan' on the CD. Will these files do for my ver 11? I believe ver b was the one that comes off the CD. Thanks, C.
  2. Excellent. Thank you for the quick reply! I'll re-install today and give it a shot. C.
  3. I seem to recall running across the answer to this here a while back. Can all the model libraries be transfered to the HD and not run off the CD? I know that it would still be necessary to have the CD in to run the prog, and I'm fine with that. I just thought it might make things go a little faster to have all that goodness running of the box instead of the CD. If so, has anyone tried this and was there a noticible difference? Thanks. C.
  4. Many thanks again for the tip. The bootcamp solution did indeed do the trick and I'm back up and running...I am SO happy!! Thanx, C.
  5. Thanks for the tip...I'll give that a shot this week! C.
  6. OK. I found out why my ver 11.0 A:M doesn't install on my new mac mini via OS X...thanks to the message board folks So, my next attempt at getting things up and running was to install Parallels to run XP virtually on the mini. Everything installed well (seemingly) but clicking on the icon on the desktop (again, in virtual XP) gives me a 'can't find CD drive' error. It found the CD drive well enough to install the program...what gives? Anyone know the answer? All the settings for Parallels that pertain to the CD drive have been enabled. It took a lot of lobbying to purchase the upgrade to 11.0 as I don't use the prog religiously enough for some people...so upgrading again is doubtful. I found Blender and it seems cool enough, but even though I never became a master at A:M I find I am very used to it and don't want to start all over with something new - however comparable it may claim to be. Can anyone help me to figure out a way to get A:M running in Paralells, or provide me with a definitive 'it will never work...sorry" scenario? Thank you all in this community who have helped me over the years. C.
  7. Ugh... I was afraid of that. That is gonna drive a nail in my A:M coffin for sure. I got 11 before I was graced with twins - upgrades are pretty unlikely now...s**t Thanks for the info though. C.
  8. I shot a mail message to support but I thought I'd cover this base as well. I got a Mac mini from work so that I could work from home. Since my home PC is way old, I wanted to install A:M on the mini. The install of A:M 11 goes OK, but after entering in my info & serial the program just shuts down. System stats are as follows: 1.83 gig core duo 2 gig Ram Mac OSX I checked the FAQ but didn't find anything similar to my situation. Sorry if this isn't the place for this question. Also, I know a mini is hardly the workhorse that should be running A:M but it it's all I got. Any help is greatly appreciated. C.
