  1. Winners posted!

    http://www.hash.com/imagecontest/Sept08/

Winners, if you'd like a plaque, e-mail me (steve@hash.com) with your NAME, and MAILING ADDRESS

note: I order plaques in bulk to get a better price, I'll be ordering for this month, as well as the last two months, so please get me your info within the next week (I already have info for the folks for the last two months)

    Thanks, everyone!

  2. Resolution

Locate files that are dated into the future and change the date. More than likely the files that you find will be Windows System files that are forward dated. There are several shareware programs available that will assist you in changing the file and folder dates. One such program is called Attribute Changer, which can be downloaded from http://webplaza.pt.lu/public/rpetges/windows/windows.html

    Locating Modified Files:

    Windows XP

Open up Windows Explorer, click on the Tools Menu, Folder Options, View tab.

Click "Show Hidden Files and Folders".

Uncheck "Hide Protected Operating System Files".

    Click on Apply and Ok.

Click on Start, Search, Files or Folders.

    Click "When was it modified".

    Choose Modified Date.

In the "from" Field, choose today's date.

In the "to" text box choose a date several years into the future.

    Click "More Advanced Options".

Click "Search system folders", "Search hidden files and folders", and "Search Subfolders".

    Click "Search".

(Vista search procedure should be very similar)

  3. Vern is this month's winner! Congratulations, Vern! Eric and Xtaz were vying for the win, but Vern put on a sudden burst of speed in the last leg, and passed them by several lengths!

    Thanks to everyone who participated!

  4. this is a result of something that causes your primary network adapters MAC address to change- typically the cause is a virtual adapter used for VPNs-

the changing MAC address needs to be resolved, then we can issue a new key tied to your permanent MAC address-

  5. Votes are in, thanks everyone, for your participation!

since they haven't been tremendously popular, This will be the last contest where plaques are awarded- we WILL continue the contest, but with only one winner, who will get their image showcased on the main page for the following month- I'm open for suggestions (privately) on meaningful contest prizes...

I have not yet ordered plaques for last month, but I plan to, and for this month's winners, if you are interested in a plaque, let me know- also, if you placed in a contest in the past, and did NOT receive your plaque, let me know, I'll re-order one for you- let me know in the next week, please!

so, current winners and anyone who didn't get a plaque for placing in a past contest, send me your address-

    Thanks again, everyone!
