  1. Actually, the idea here was that my client wanted to show that different designs were possible and something bold was necessary. I don't have the whole story, but my guess is that he needs to convince the clients that there are other possibilities.

I didn't have any other reference materials except for some rough dimensions. I was given a lot of creative freedom too...in fact, all of it.

My client loved the red tiles and I went with a small sink because there wasn't enough real estate for a double sink. I was told at the beginning not to worry about budget or anything like that, so I just went with whatever felt right.

    Thanks for the comments!

  2. Can anyone tell me where I can get the latest version of this model?

The version I have on my hard drive doesn't appear to be rigged properly. I turn on Jeff Lew Rig and the IK for the arms and legs, but it appears the cp's aren't assigned properly.

Alternatively, if anyone knows of a similar model anywhere, that would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Eugene

  3. I am in need of a person to model, texture and rig a Reliant K Car.

    Specifications:

The interior of the vehicle does not need to have a lot of detail as this will not be the main focus of the scene.

The overall dimensions of the vehicle should reflect the real thing and should not be scaled. (dimensions on can be found on the net or I can send).

The exterior of the vehicle should be made and assembled as separate components. For example, the door should be separate from the front fender and the hood should be separate from the two front fenders and front grill…etc. The left front fender needs sufficient splinage to reflect the damage shown in the image.

I expect to see the window wipers, door handles, emblems, antenna, front grill and bumpers as models, not decals. Tail and head lights need to modeled, then decaled. (images on ebay).

Tires and rims need to be modeled, but you can use a decal for the rims and a normal map for depth.

Bump map for the tire treads as well.

I will require a simple rig with a bone on each tire. The front tires will require to turn left or right and steering wheel will turn with front tires. There should be a main body bone (approximately in center of vehicle) that has the main vehicle body assigned to it.

I would also like a pose slider to show the car dipping forward and backwards, plus side to side movement (like going around curb). It is important that the bone used for dipping and side to side (main body bone) motion be located according to the vehicles actual center of mass.

Only native materials should be used (no Darktree or other plugin shaders).

Please avoid displacement maps if at all possible! Bump maps are fine.

I have some reference photos that I can send.

I am hoping the model can be done in approximately 2 weeks.

Please send me an email with your bid through the AM Forum.

Links to work you have done will be helpful.

    Cheers,

  4. I am in need of a person to model, texture and rig a 1997 GMC Safari Van.

    Specifications:

The interior of the vehicle needs to have the dash area in front of the driver look reasonably good. It will be a shot from the driver's view so the gauges, steering wheel...etc. will show in the scene.

The overall dimensions of the vehicle should reflect the real thing and should not be scaled. (dimensions on the net or I can send).

  5. I am looking for a person to model, texture and rig a 1986 International truck (Box Type)

    I have some specifications below:

The important thing here is that the vehicle should look good from the outside as I do not need any internal parts except for the seats and a dashboard.

The interior of the vehicle does not need a lot of detail. You only need include the dashboard, steering wheel, seats and rear view mirror. Also, the dashboard does not need all the gauges and vents modeled although you can use a decal to keep it simple.

The overall dimensions of the vehicle should reflect the real thing and should not be scaled.

The exterior of the vehicle should be made and assembled as separate components. For example, the door should be separate from the front fender and the hood should be separate from the two front fenders and front grill…etc.

I expect to see the window wipers, door handles, emblems, antenna, front grill and bumpers as models, not decals.

Tires and rims need to be modeled although you don’t need to worry about modeling the tire treads. You can use a bump map instead as it is simpler and the tires will not be the main point of focus.

I will require a simple rig with a bone on each tire. The front tires will require to turn left or right and all tires should have an expression action of the tires rotating where I can control the speed and direction with a pose slider (if you are not comfortable with this, let me know and I will take care of it).

I would also like a pose sllider to show the car dipping forward and backwards, plus side to side movement (like going around curb).

I am hoping the model can be done in approximately 2-3 weeks.

Please send me a personal message through the AM Forum.

This will pay $100 US (negotiable)

    Cheers all,

  6. Hi Paul,

I reported this to Anzovin last week and Morgan is working on it. At first I sent it to Hash, only because I wasn't sure, but it appears to be an issue they are investigating.

You can always drop Morgan a line and just let him know...might bump it up the priority list.

    Cheers,

  7. Ciao Claudio...come stai?

I think once you overcome the Polygonal thinking in Max, you will wonder why you didn't get started earlier with AM.

The reason I say this is that AM is very fast when you want to put together a quick animation or small video clip. All the tools are there for your animation needs and the workflow is seemless because it is all incorporated into one package. You don't need to purchase an extra plugin or import from other software...it's all there for you.

Basically for the independant artist, AM beats all other major 3D software, hands down.

One word of caution and that is that if you are looking to use your Max models in AM, it just doesn't work that well.

    Cheers,

    Eugene

  8. Here is a project file and VERY quick model to show that you can always model when you don't have a more elegant way to figure something out.

From what I recall, shock waves decay out of the exhaust and that's why you get that's the bright diamond pattern.

    Set glow, roughness and transparency.

    Cheers,

    Eugene

    and the project file.
