  1. Thanks for the feedback BrainLock. Unfortunately this puppy has been put to bed now. It's only a minor critique anyway so I can live with it.

Jason, I've uploaded the psd. I also added a shortcut by mistake which I can't delete.

  2. OK Robert. I rendered out the characters with an alpha channel. That way I can have 2D control of the background which I brightened above Witch. Here's what I came up with. Any better? I wonder if I should put the hash website on the bottom.....

  3. We're on a tight time schedule. If I had these ideas before I had finished, I may have been able to do something about them. Thanks anyway.

Jason, I added a brighter update on the ftp.....and added a token crow.

  4. If it's good enough for these guys.....

Besides, this doesn't have to be the only poster. The project is on the svn if you want to give it a go. Or something else.

  5. Thanks for the tips. Here's what I ended up with. There was no way I could render out at 300 dpi. I rendered at 100 dpi and scaled it up in the text image which was at 300 dpi. Is that how to do it? The only thing is the final size is 300 mb...psd. What format should I give it to you in Jason? Tga is still 200 mb. Thanks.

  6. Martin has asked me to put together a poster for SO. I'd like to get some opinions first. What characters should be involved? What environment? What poses would be best? What is a good poster size?

I was thinking of at least the main characters.....Bill/Trot/Scarecrow/Witch.

I'd like to make a full colour poster with a nice forest environment. Mark might be able to help on that.

They could be happy and smiling. Or they could be running scared from something. Don't know.

I think we might have some of this done already. I'd appreciate any opinions on this. Thanks.

  7. There are all sorts of intersecting problems with the wand in her hand. I'll put it on the bed at the start. She's by the bed petting her handbag which is beside her. But I'll probably move her closer to Krewl. An easy fix. Cheers!

  8. Hmmm....I could. But don't we want people re-watching the movie? ;) I was thinking she drops it from lack of control. Of course, she could set it down on the bed while we cut to Krewl chasing Bill. Does it need it? Opinions?

  9. Here's the next one where Krewl and Witch have a good old chuckle at their handiwork. There's some nice voice work in this. Fun to do. Unfortunately this render is ruined by the sound going ahead of the action. But it looks fine scrubbing through the chor. Hopefully it'll work out in the final render.

    Laughs of fun

  10. I added the effect. Still a little work to do on it, but I can't get AM working at the moment. I can't display the sprites to see how they look either.

  11. Thanks all! I've been trying to get more interaction in my SO shots. In TWO, they would have just said their lines to the camera. The purse doesn't have any facial movement, but he's quite endearing. :)

I'll take a look at the witch we used in TWO for a wand effect and let you know. We want to keep it consistent in other shots. I'll leave the lighting to you. ;)

    On to 2_12_03.

PS The action doesn't update even after re-starting the project. Don't know what's going on.

  12. Got this done at last. Hard to find time for these now but we'll get it done. Can't figure out the lighting and I'm hoping we already have a magical sprite spray for her wand. I'm noticing that if you make changes to a non chor action, they aren't reflected in the chor unless you drag them on to the model again.

Witch turns Bill into a grasshopper!
