  1. Ok, thanks. I didn't mean that it wasn't possible, just that the plugins might not be available. I'll try contacting him.
  2. Thanks for the replies. It sounds like there are some possibilities, but nothing workable yet. I do need to use this for a project soon, so I'll have to figure something else out. What is the best way to export a model (incl. textures!) from A:M to 3ds, obj, or any other format that Vue, Max, etc. can read? I've tried it and had completely unstable results. Is there something I'm missing?
  3. I'm wondering if there is a way to import camera data from another program. We're using, primarily, Vue to create a landscape and I would like to be able to insert Animation:Master elements as well. We can export a camera that would work for After Effects, Maya, and perhaps others. I'm not exactly sure how much we can convert the data, so please give as many options as possible for import and we'll hopefully find a medium that will work. Thanks!
  4. Thanks for the tutorial. In this case, fading between them in the program won't actually work like that, because they are coming from different ends of the timeline. Either way, I'll take a closer look at that for future projects. And here's what I ended up with. This is conceptual, so there are problems, but it's very effective. http://disk.truthandliesmovie.com/ammorphtest.mov
  5. I appreciate the fast replies. I'll see what happens with the suggestions. And the fade won't be a problem. Everything else will work fine, aside from applying the decal (that is, until I figure it out ).
  6. In short, I need to apply a texture onto an object, but within the shapes defined in an action. I think this may be possible using poses, but couldn't find the answer. (For a few more details, I'm trying to apply one image to the end of a morphing shape's action, then render that out; apply the other to the beginning; once those two are moved in the same way, a simple fade between the clips will create a smooth, 3D morphing transition between them.) Thanks.
  7. I'm doing a composition with some models which are meshes built around prelit images. In other words, I want the exact pixel values for the colors, without any adjustment based on lighting. I'm looking for an option, but I see nothing. I deleted all the lights, and of course that just gives black. I want no shadows, no reflections, just the decals' original colors. Thanks!
  8. Aha. That was easy. Thanks. I haven't used A:M since v. 2000. It's been so long.
  9. This feature is nice when modeling, as a guide, but it is the absolute most annoying "feature" of the program when trying to manipulate a model. Not only can I not detach these points from the center, causing everything to get distorted when the model is moved, but I can't even delete them once I have manually separated them from the rest of the mesh. Is there a way to disable this? Remove the setting from a single point? Cutting and pasting either leaves behind these points or leaves them attached to the center, as well. Thanks.
  10. Thanks, David. Hi, everyone. Please let me know if you'd be interested in working to finish the model. David already has the mesh, 90% of textures, and almost all rigging complete, so the majority of the work would be the lighting and animation. I'd be more than happy to give you more information about the project. In short, it's a fantasy film about 15 minutes long. (David earlier posted that it was a Star Wars fanfilm, and this was due to miscommunication, since we met through a site dealing primarily with fanfilms.) The baby's role, specifically, is that of Osmond, the future savior of the kingdom-- if the king doesn't have him killed first. Feel free to post questions here, though I wouldn't want to take too much forum space, so PM/email/IM would be fine with me. We are looking for this to be completed soon, preferably within 1-2 months. If there's anything you'd like to know, please ask. I would continue work on this myself, but my skills with A:M are just a bit below this level , and I'm quite busy with the rest of the organization of the film. I'd really appreciate the help.
