zacktaich
Thank you, I've been trying that out. He currently only has 700 something patches. Is this too little to animate well w/?
ZPiDER
700 is a very low number and sounds like you'll get in serious trouble while animating. it depends on your splineage though. if you'd post a wireframe we could help you with that. zacktaich
Well here's a wireframe shot of his front. This model is slightly different to the model above. It's legs and arms connection to the body are better. You can also download the model off my terrible website. http://www.angelfire.com/ca7/zachary. Click on any one of the "free models" links. P.S. Zpider, Zevel is great I use it on all mechanical models.

JBarrett
Here's an updated shot. Give comments please!!! There are some spline continuity issues around his hips and shoulders, which is why you have those creases in the render. Remember, you can't quite build w/ splines the same way you build w/ polys. Mike Lium
Its a pretty good start. What I like to do is rarely use real dark colors while modeling as it hides to many creases and imperfections on the model. Try using a lighter color ( you can always change it down the road ) and give the model a little specularity and see if that helps you see the problems. 2¢ Mike
