higginsdj
Pixologic has been building hype over it's 4R7 Zbrush update for months now. It's finally here. Now very few people can get to it because the demand has crashed it's servers. There is so much mayhem that they have voluntarily brought down their main web site and shut down the online store. So now they can't actually do business! So how smart was it building all that hype over the release?
pixelplucker
They probably should have made it available to users in certain regions at a time rather than everyone at once. Even breaking out the release via emails to registered users first would have been more controlled. Another thing they could have done is restrict the bandwidth per connect while blocking download utilities. Shoulda coulda didn't
zandoriastudios
I got my email yesterday, downloaded and installed it...didn't have any problems. Nice that even though i bought ZBrush when it was V3, all of the upgrades have been free!
higginsdj
I had to lodge 5 tickets (from update page access through purchase of Bridge and Keyshot then installation and activation of all 3 items) - nothing worked without assistance to fix and/or unblock
