TheSpleen Posted October 29, 2008 Posted October 29, 2008 In the video I am doing I need a classic cartoon fight cloud. Everyone has seen one and I am hoping it has been done before here successfully. If not I will just have to make a step by step fight, but the genre of how my toon looks, really calls for the fight cloud. Any help? Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted October 29, 2008 Hash Fellow Posted October 29, 2008 make a small cartoon drawing of a cloudlet and use that as a spriticle. Make a particle emitter spew them out and have them grow so they just about cover the flailing arms and then fade out. Quote

TheSpleen Posted October 29, 2008 Author Posted October 29, 2008 Anywhere I can find a tut on something close to this? Quote
Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted October 29, 2008 Hash Fellow Posted October 29, 2008 The fire tut in TAoA:M shows the essentials of varying particle properties over their lifetime. you'd use sprite paritcles instead of streak particles. creating the cloudlet would be a photoshop job. It will need an alpha channel to hide the square edges. Quote

Hash Fellow robcat2075 Posted October 30, 2008 Hash Fellow Posted October 30, 2008 alpha channels are easy to do, but really hard to explain. I'll let these guys try: http://www.am-guide.com/TinCan/AM_&_Alpha.htm http://www.ypoart.com/tutorials/alpha/fundamentals.php Quote
