colorFool Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 Hello everyone! We - the E-Studioz team - is currently searching for an animator for our small hobby project with the (project)name 'Poge a Chimp', which has been in development for few months. Poge a Chimp is an action/skill multiplayer game with the premise to bounce other players off of hovering platforms. The setting is a lab of a nutty professor who's testing his invention with unkind experiments. The result are gene-altered chimps with a high aggression potential who have been shrinked by his newest invention - the minimizer 2000 - to a fraction of their original size and have to compete in his self-built arena in the center of his lab. By means of constant electric shocks the chimps have the disire to knock out everything that comes their way as well as clearing the arena from all their conspecifics. The basic gameplay mechanic is based on skill, reaction and timing - a constantly moving bar determines the strength of each punch. The goal is to get the most points and the fewest falls. At the monent the game is in an early alpha stage - the most important elements are implemented, die basic mechanics are working and the whole thing is playable over the net. The GUI ist mostly done and there is a textured player model. With our own editor (ChimpED), we can easly and comfortably build levels, which you are welcomed to give a try. And this is how it looks: http://www.e-studioz.de/ingame01.jpg http://www.e-studioz.de/ingame02.jpg http://www.e-studioz.de/chimped.jpg http://www.e-studioz.de/monkey.jpg http://www.e-studioz.de/monkey_concept.jpg http://www.e-studioz.de/powerups.jpg What still is really missing are the fitting animations for our apish protagonist. This is why we are looking for a competent animator with rigging skills to bring our chimp to life. If you have time/interest and are an reliable person we would love to hear from you. You can contact us via e-mail at eichi@e-studioz.de or via ICQ at the UINs 172447765 and 109719736. Unfortunately we cannot offer any financial consideration besides the immeasurable fame *cough* and masses of willing virgins *doublecough* that the completion of the project yields. But seriously - whoever likes to work with an experienced, dependable and well organized team that loves to see a game come to life - please get in touch with us! See you soon and best regards, the E-Studioz team Quote
3DArtZ Posted April 27, 2008 Posted April 27, 2008 since this is a non paying gig, I think you need to post this in the "co-operative" projects section. Quote
