Is there a way to create shortcuts to images, materials, models, and actions in bulk. This one at a time is ageing me real quickly. I even tried going into the files and placing all models in the model folder, images in images, and material in material but they still do not show unless I right click > creat shortcut > one at a time.

Make sure you are dragging and dropping the actual model files (or project, materials etc.)

Dragging the folders they reside in doesn't work.

Easiest way to test:

Create a new folder in the Models Library (Call it 'Test')

Open/Enter the Test folder

Position your Windows folder and A:M so that you can easily drag and drop

Grab a model and drag it into the Test Folder

Works every time here.

Now... I can hear you already saying "What the heck... that' gonna take years!"

A really great way to add lots of resources to a Library quickly is to run a search (Start/Search)

Perform a search for *.mdl and all your models will be found.

If you want you can drag them all into your Library folder and sort them there later.

Keep asking questions and we'll explore further.

Sorry to be so dense about this: I created a folder called it anime_boy. The first time was using WinXP, A:M could not see the folder. So I did a right click in side Actors created a folder right clicked again created a short cut to anime_boy and got a short cut, but it is Thom not Anime_boy. All three files are are in the folder. How do I get the actual model to show??? I'm sure it is something simple I am missing - it always is, but could you tell me what I am doing wrong. Initally I created a folder (using WinXP) in Actors, When A:M did not see the folder I just left it, when I created the short cut I just pointed it to the folder I created in Actors. OR is all the above normal??? java script:emoticon(':(', 'smid_2'):(
