GusM Posted August 27, 2006 Posted August 27, 2006 When can we expect to have a working TSM2 for OsX Tiger? Thank you in advance, Gustavo Muñoz Quote
dborruso Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 I just got a mac. I use tsm2 on windows. I would like to use it on osx tiger too. Is this going to happen? Seems a long time without an update. Quote
luckbat Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 Based on what I've heard from Morgan, I don't believe there will be a Tiger port of TSM2. Quote
GusM Posted September 4, 2006 Author Posted September 4, 2006 Sad news... this would be a pity. TSM2 for Maya is being updated fos OsX. I own and use TSM for AM - Mac since long before the first Maya version was released. Are they droping the AM Mac support? What is suposed we should do the AM TSM Mac users? Quote
luckbat Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 There's no getting around it. A:M v13 is Tiger-only. TSM2 is Panther-only. Users with Intel Macs have the option of running TSM on their Windows partitions, but the rest of us will likely have to switch to the Squetch rig. Quote
Lori Hiatt Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Hi Dennis, If you just got a new Intel Mac you can run Windows. I can't vouch for specifics since I have a G5. Bootcamp is Apples' product and there is another one from a third party that works well too. Lori Hiatt Quote
dborruso Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 yeah, i will just have to do my rigging with tsm2 under windows I guess. Thanks. Quote
ZachBG Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Based on what I've heard from Morgan, I don't believe there will be a Tiger port of TSM2. ARGH! Quote
luckbat Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Hey, I could be wrong. Morgan explained to me back in April that the Anzovins want to update it, but at this point, any time spent working on their non-Maya plugins is like throwing money away. So it's hard for them to justify. (That said, the original TSM2 for Mac was almost a year late, then cancelled, and then it was released anyway. So you never know.) I sent her an e-mail a few weeks ago to ask if there was any official word on TSM2 Mac, but she hasn't responded. Quote
