strohbehn Posted January 29, 2005 Posted January 29, 2005 (edited) I've got a simple mdl file with two groups, "low-res" and "hi-res". I saved the file and ran Weight Mover, but the hi/low res groups don't show up in the "Weight Transfer Groups" list. Any suggestions for how I can get Weight Mover to read the file/groups? Edited: I found a couple of non-legal patches in the low-res model and fixed those. Now WeightMover reads the mdl file and groups OK, but when I save the weighted mdl file it is 0 Kb (an empty file) and gives an "invalid model file" error in A:M. What's up? Morgan Posted January 29, 2005 Posted January 29, 2005 I'd guess the problem is that you're spelling it "low-res." Your English teacher approves; WeightMover doesn't. It wants you to spell it "lo-res." WeightMover isn't quite as smart as I'd like it to be. Expect any future versions to accept all reasonable alternative spellings of group names, and possibly a few unreasonable ones for good measure. In the meantime, make sure your groups are "hi-res" and "lo-res", exactly. Let me know if you have any more trouble with it. Actually, if that doesn't clear up the problem, mail me the model so I can take a look at what it's doing -- morgan [at] anzovin [dot] com. thanks, -Morgan Quote
strohbehn Posted January 29, 2005 Author Posted January 29, 2005 Hi Morgan, I checked the group names and did use "lo-res" and "hi-res". I'm sending you the file to look at. Thanks for the help. Mark Quote
strohbehn Posted January 30, 2005 Author Posted January 30, 2005 I got everything working fine by shortening the file name that WeightMover saves out to. For whatever reason it didn't like my long, descriptive file names. Quote
Morgan Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 I'm glad to hear you got it working. I'll have to look into the filename thing -- it may be an inherent limitation of Lingo, unfortunately. -Morgan Quote
