  1. Make sure you are dragging and dropping the actual model files (or project, materials etc.)

Dragging the folders they reside in doesn't work.

    Easiest way to test:

Create a new folder in the Models Library (Call it 'Test')

    Open/Enter the Test folder

Position your Windows folder and A:M so that you can easily drag and drop

Grab a model and drag it into the Test Folder

    Works every time here.

Now... I can hear you already saying "What the heck... that' gonna take years!"

A really great way to add lots of resources to a Library quickly is to run a search (Start/Search)

Perform a search for *.mdl and all your models will be found.

If you want you can drag them all into your Library folder and sort them there later.

Keep asking questions and we'll explore further.

OMG! If you were here I would smother you with kisses. Thank you so so so much. It worked.

I wish I would of asked this a long time ago. lol

    Thanks again, xoxoxoxo

  2. Yes.

You can drag and drop from your file window (Windows and I assume Mac too) into your Libraries.

OK will you explain how I do this because I believe I have tried that method and no go.

    Thanks

  3. Is there a way to create shortcuts to images, materials, models, and actions in bulk. This one at a time is ageing me real quickly. I even tried going into the files and placing all models in the model folder, images in images, and material in material but they still do not show unless I right click > creat shortcut > one at a time.

  4. Are you importing them into Flash and then 'trace-bitmapping' them to vectors? That not only hurts the image, but your file size will increase as well.

Flash 8 is vastly improved for compressing and compositing video...are you using 8?

If you truly need vectors...Freehand is a good app at conversions.

No vectors are not my intentions, just the loading time. If you are trying to get clients by using an avi file, chances are they will leave before the file is loaded. I am not sure what Flash version I am using, it is the MX version.

  5. I cannot figure out how to render my projects to where they run smoothly. They play as if they are a ticking clock. Stop,go,stop,go,stop,go. This even happens after the file has been completely loaded and played several times.

    How do I stop this?
