  1. im sorry but im completely lost on this topic. so someone created a new virtual currency and people are paying upwards of $120 for 1 bitcoin? what???

    my brain just exploded.

  2. well the money problem i solved already since i was saving up for CS6 anyway. so what i did was create a second bank account with close to $1200 in it and its only purpose was to pay for CS6. i got an initial starting price of $29.99 ($32.50 after taxes) per month for the first year (yes i finally went back and read that part). so after the first year if im still in need of the products i will continue with the subscription if not i will end it before the next year cycle.

The backwards compatibility problem so far i dont have any. my photoshop files are working fine in my friends CS5 (except for 3D of course) and after effects and premiere i havent had it long enough to see a problem.

ill keep you guys up to date if any of that changes.

  3. from my perspective. i have access to software that was originally completely out of my price range.

it was the same with Hash i use to skip versions before subscription option came out.

i get access to the latest software at a much more reasonable price.

however you guys want to look at it, it a win win situation for me.

  4. That looks great!

I tell ya... After I saw "2001: A Space Odyssey" when I was 8, I was building cardboard space ships in the basement for the next three years.

For me it was star trek he he.

  5. Unless you are needing some unusual inputs or outputs, just about any motherboard today has fine sound built in.

    25 1TB drives? :o

yeah probably right i might need a controller box since i use XLR jacks for my mics.

    Yes 25 1 TB HDs

i have alot of crap filled up 4 of them already.

i got room on the box for another 10 drives.

  6. thats some good stuff.

these are things i have already i should have listed before.

Win 7 license i have 4 copies so im covered

HD im going to be using my Raid i have which is 25 1 TB drives.

i want to stick with AMD since it hasnt failed me before so why change now.

    so i just need:

    motherboard

    processor

memory (was thinking going 16 GB on this one)

    video card

    main HD

power supply (at least 800w i would think)

    Case

    sound card

DVD RW (or BD rw hmmm)

so since im saving about $200 with stuff i have already i should be able to get something nice going

i should be able to squeeze up to $1400 if i budget right.

  7. Ok so my old machine is just about to call it quits on me.

i have about $1000 saved up for a new one.

my question for you guys is what can i get for the most bang for my buck.

i will be doing a lot of rendering with it.

so what you guys think i can do?

  8. thats pretty cool!

i only ask boujou because i got a version of it from ebay on sale and someone told me its the best out there.

so i have it now and been using it but cant seem to find a way to get it to work in A:M. i really dont want to buy another one after buying this one.

I hope theres a way otherwise i have to use another program like maya or blender and i suck with those.

    and PF track is $1600!!!!

  9. i was wondering if anyone has ever used this software to do camera tracking for A:M.

i want to use it for the next project but not sure what format i can use for exporting that A:M will take.

    anyone?

  10. hey guys,

got a bit of problem im trying to solve maybe you can lend some insight

i got to have the robot walk up from behind the robot and kick the one guy in the groin and walk around to the other guy and do the same.

trying to figure out the best way of doing this without animating the the entire scene by hand.

orginal idea was to have him on a path and do the action and go on path again. but not sure how thats going to work.

    this is the scene.

didnt do any of the robot actions yet just had him move into position.

and yes my director wants the scene this long but maybe i can talk him into splitting it up.
