1. Amazing. I was working on a gothic cathedral but it's no where near this good. I might just give up compared to this. But in case I don't give up You mentioned "patches" in the thread when it came to the look. I'm still using v8.5. Is that feature available on that version? Does anyone know of a good tut for patches? I had honestly thought of making a site with a small tut on the gothic cathedral for us n00bies, but after seeing this...I am truely humbled. thanx
2. LOL actually, it's a first run on a pair of night vision goggles. VERY MUCH a WIP right now. haven't had time to play with them much.
3. hi all, I updated my WIP/MISC page on my site. I made a Colonial Marines M4A1 Pulse Rifle (by request) I'm still working on the details for the breach to make a firing action. thanx
4. If you're curious, read along in the thread under "Animation Master: General Discussion" (I guess) ************************* hi gang. for someone who hadn't touched A:M in a bit, I don't think I'm doing too bad. Here's some of what I've tried my hand at so far. The helmet was first, in keeping with the request for it and for hats (first of many I hope) Then there's the night goggles to go with it. I started them but have to detail it all and get the head straps just right (can you tell I've had to wear them in the desert before?) Then there's the toaster. I started making the classic Sears model, all curved and pretty and all... ...but then I realized that I had shot myself in the foot by adding too many splines, hence the boolean cutters would ruin it. So I tried it again, much simpler... the only problem I've run in to is making them chrome...when I add chrome material, they turn black. I put them in a CHOR with some items to reflect and some more lighting, but still nothing.....any suggestions on making good chrome? Thanx again for such inspiration to all. It's good to be hashing again...so very good!
5. ...I was thinking of restarting the project and wanted to get opinions. She has no legs yet and lacks a great deal of detail. The neck would hood out like a cobra (idea I had) but haven't worked out the details yet, so I made a still to see how she would look. Thanx in advance for your opinions more pictures of her here: dragon project
