  1. Speaking of swaying the vote...

Rodney - I don't know if the personal attacks, even if they are not meant in a mean way are at all necessary in a discussion like this. Calling a vote for the other side a "waste" feels innapropriate.

  2. No. We already have waaaay too many forums. We only need one WIP area and one Showcase area. The poster has the right to say what type of critiques he/she wants.

If you only want none constructive comments, keep it to yourself, tell people that you can't take it, or just show it to your mother.

  3. When importing as a prop you may want to break it up into several pieces first so that a ) you can apply multiple textures to the prop and B ) you can do some rudimentary animation, like rudders moving, etc.

You could even animate some simple characters in this way, although it would be a bit of a challenge.

  4. They SHOULDN'T have a problem with it, but they probably will.

I believe they have every right to choose who can and who cannot use their ideas in marketing products. Even if it isn't the best for us.

I really love that dog one. Great job on that!

  5. Great job everyone!

I worry about a few, only because I'm not sure if Hash can put them on their CD. An example is the Wookie. I think it's an awesome character, with awesome hair, in an awesome image, but I've heard of how tough Lucas' lawyers can be, and I'm not sure they would appreciate the image on the CD or in Hash's promotional materials.

But once again great job to everyone who participated. Lots and lots of great entries!

  6. Here's a fun little tip. You need the stride length to be the same as a perimeter. So just select a spline that covers the whole perimeter and right click and select "measure spline". That's your stride length right there. Now animate the ball rolling a full 360 over that stride length.
