  1. I'll have to try that. Thanks for the tip Vern. Dan
  2. Here it is with a body and hair. I need to skin the hands, legs and skirt. [attachmentid=18368] Dan
  3. Here it is with eyes and the forehead wrinkles smaller. [attachmentid=18329] Dan
  4. ) I rotoscoped an asian face. I used a close up from the yellow series and then a generic old lady for the wrinkles. Once I'm off work tomorrow, I'll add eyes and repost it with the eyes open and fix the forhead. Dan
  5. They are. I'll adjust them once I get the hair figured out. No this is for a non SW project,. As far as SW goes, I uploaded all my models from my Immortal project for the extra II DVD. I'll post more here as this project comes along. Dan
  6. Here is the face of a new model I'm working on. I still have to add hair, that is why there are no ears. [attachmentid=18263] I used Virtual Media Studios tutorial on skinning- http://www.virtualmediastudios.com/tuts/mapping/ Any feedback appreciated Dan ( The eyes are closed)
  7. If you guys need any of my SW models let me know. Dan
  8. Thanks for the kind words. A web comic would be cool, I'll have to think about that. After working on this for so long (A couple years) and still having to do the voices, I have something I want to do next that will be quite different, non Star Wars related. Dan
  9. Yea, you need to know the mythos to them to understand the story. Highlanders is about Immortals who fight to the death until there is only one left. They can sense each other when they are near, and the only way to kill them permenantly is to cut off their head. Unless friends, they will try to kill eath other, and usually one is around to train a new immortal. They can sense an immortal in a person who hasn't died, and if that person dies violently he becomes an immortal. My ending in the warehouse I kept similiar to that in the first Highlander movie. Dan
  10. Since all movies have a Poster I created a movie poster, using my models. [attachmentid=17891] Dan
  11. I don't have any Jedi fighting in the movie, so I have no use of lightsabers, but thanks for the offer. I didn't want to use SW music, that's too easy. Dan
  12. The bad guy is the Imperial Officer and the good guys are the boy, Duros and the Ithor. When I have time I planned on zipping and offering all my models on my website. The R2 isn't mine, and I couldn't find who or where I got it to give them credit, so that won't be one I offer. I have the stereo voice setting ready, which will also make it deeper, but since it is just my voice for now I didn't set it up. The flashback transition is there, but it is one of those things I sped up to reduce the length of the short. Just before the flashback the camera aims at the ground and then zooms in ands the flashback zooms out. Highlander used transitions to show flashbacks not fads, which is what I used, but it is quick. I will slow it down. Like I said, I skipped using lightsabers because I didn't want to confuse the Immortals with Jedis. Dan
  13. I should have given some background. This is a What if story. What if immortals from the Highlander movies are in the Star Wars universe. That's why there are swords. I didn't want to confuse them with jedis and use lightsabers. As for the speed, I am actually almost at 15 minutes long and wanted to get it down below 10 minutes, but 11 was the best I could do. The yellow taxi going down into the building at the beging was actually quite long, to show the depth they go down, but it was not really needed and the scrolling text can be legthened, but I'll wait for more feedback on that. Dan
  14. I've got the animation complete, it runs about 11 minutes long, and is 37 MB in size. I was able to save it using Sorensen codec. You can download it here to see it http://dogst.com/SWimmortal.mov. It's 320x240. It's my voice doing all the audio, I have a couple people who'll do the different voices, I just haven't been able to get them over to record them, but this will at least give you the story and soundtrack. My skill as an animator is limited, so with a couple minor changes, this is how it will look. Let me know what you think so far. Thanks Dan
  15. I'm done with my SW movie, it's at a little over 11 minutes long. I still have to do all the voices and music, touch up scenes that don't look good and all that. The movie is is based on immortals like in Highlander, but in the Star Wars universe. I created a new trailer for the Star Wars short. Trailer It's MPG and is a little over 15 MB. It has some extra scenes and FX from the last trailer. I added SW music just so there is something until I create and add in my own. I may need some voices for charctors, most likely voice overs and those in helmets. I'll post if I do. Dan
  16. I've added a couple new screen shots to my Star Wars short. It is at http://www.dogst.com/vaderss.html So far I'm a little over 9 minutes long, with 2-3 minutes left to do. Any feedback is appreciated. Dan
  17. I tried different compressions and got a full size 700X480 down to a little over 9 MB. The bad news is it's MPG-1 format. I tried to make it a Quicktime but my Quicktime is corrupted on my machine and I tried reinstalling it a couple times but I kept getting an error that it isn't installed and I don't feel like messing with it all night. Here is the link http://www.dogst.com/screenshots/SWshort.mpg You will probably have to right click and save it to your machine to watch it. Dan
  18. I'm uploading a slightly larger size, I think its 200 x 180 or so and at 8 MB. The one walk cycle is actually climbing up stairs And I want to to do the death star explosion more like the movie, instead of the blue particles in the shock wave, add smoke to it. Dan
  19. I've added a short tiny trailer to the SW short I am working on. http://www.dogst.com/screenshots/SWshort.avi It is tiny to save bandwidth at 176 x 144 38 seconds. 4.5 mb. Cinepak Codec
  20. I have a domain name I don't use so I moved my WIP site from a free host to here, plus I got to play with Flash a little. My site is at http://www.dogst.com/ I added a couple new images to my Star Wars short I'm doing. I have about 5 minutes done and I have about 2-4 minutes left to do. Once I get over my fear of killing all the bandwidth in one day, I'll try to add a video preview to the site. Dan
  21. Thanks, I finished it and added sound and submitted it. Dan
  22. Here is what I have done so far. I'm just editing it down to 5 seconds. The first picture is casting a fishline with the bobber entering on the left, then the fish taking the line and the bobber exiting out the left. Dan
  23. I'll check in the Vader Model, It may just be the angle, it was made over a rotoscope of a vader picture so the size should be correct, but making it thicker should be easy. The Ithorian will probably walk like birds feet, but I'm unsure, I made the feet like tree roots, so it may walk on the tips too. I'm going to test render each way and see what looks best.
